Last week 6 more people graduated from the missionary training program we have been a part of these past several years. It’s exciting for us to see the Lord raising up these tribal believers for ministry. It’s also humbling to come along side them so that they can follow their call to go make disciples of all nations. For these graduates the memory of being in spiritual darkness without hope is a recent memory. They heard the gospel because other people chose to leave their own familiar places, neighborhoods, and mother tongue language to make the gospel known where it previously was not. The ..read more

All dressed up for church on Easter Sunday, where in Mexico it is traditional to wear white. He is Risen! Back in February, we mentioned a series of seven upcoming CLA evaluations: check-in milestones for newer missionaries studying Mexican culture and Spanish. One family’s medical situation delayed their evals (everyone is okay!), so only the first five were completed on that schedule. I ended up reviewing those eval recordings for four hours on the road one day, as our family left town to see my visiting parents. We got the other two evals done a couple of weeks later, and – as part of the c ..read more

To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven: Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NKJV) Results: In our last update, we asked for prayers for our health. One of the first things we did when we arrived in town last week for our break was go to the lab at the hospital to get Lance’s PSA test. The results were ready that afternoon. My number went from 5.7 earlier this year to 3.06! Praise the Lord with us and thank you for praying! Laura didn’t see a doctor during our break since it’s difficult to get to the bottom of her issues in just a week. She has started a gluten-free diet and is li ..read more

*|MC:SUBJECT|* *|MC_PREVIEW_TEXT|* In the Gospel according to Matthew, chapter 13 from verse 44 to 48 we find the Parables of the Hidden Treasure and the Pearl.  In the first parable we find that the treasure is found in a field (according to the Parable of the Sower, the field is the world; therefore the treasure is the people who are in the world. People appreciated but different from each other, like a treasure with jewels of precious metals, gold coins, vessels of great value, etc.) From that story we can interpret that the one who finds ..read more

While you are sleeping…
Ethnos360 | Christian Missionary Blogs

Church planting efforts continue in many third world countries throughout the world ‘while you are sleeping’ as well as during your awaking hours among people groups located in Central and South America.  There’s not a day goes by that an Ethnos360 missionary team is not teaching the Bible somewhere throughout the world.  Its springtime here in the USA so I am reminded of the ‘planting season.’  The rain comes down to water the earth and cause the seeds to sprout and grow up and produce crops.  In like manner, God’s Word goes forth and produces good fruit in the hearts of t ..read more

What is the first thing that comes to mind when you read the words, “Isi mplyd ontun dersta ndathi ngiamrea ding.”  Does anything sound familiar?  Is there anything similar to what you may use in conversation?  Or is it totally foreign to you? Sounds in an unfamiliar language can be downright confusing and utterly mind-boggling.  But what would you say if I were to tell you the above words are a part of our English language?   You would think I am crazy.  But take another look at the sentence and see if you can decipher what it says. Did you catch it?  I ..read more

Aviation Fuel Shortage
Ethnos360 | Christian Missionary Blogs

Last month we put out a plea for prayer on social media about an aviation fuel shortage in Papua New Guinea.  Our planes and helicopters are dependent upon uninterrupted fuel supplies to service missionaries living & ministering in remote locations among unreached people throughout the country.  No fuel means that there will be no flights to provide our personnel with necessary supplies for their monthly needs. We can relate to this as back in the day when we lived interior the plane was down for repair and awaiting parts from abroad.  We went for a period of over three week ..read more

It is with grateful hearts that we share with you that my mom, Sue Watters, went to be with Jesus yesterday.  Ginger and Sue I, Ginger, am so thankful that we returned to the States when we did.  When we first got back, Mom was doing pretty well, and we were able to spend some time together.  Her joy was to teach children, and she was still teaching two weekly Bible clubs in local schools, as well as teaching the story in Awana each week in her church.  Her goal was to be able to finish these times of teaching, and to be able to finish the month of March well.  And God ..read more

Thank you so much for praying for us over the past month. Galilee had a botox treatment as scheduled. The neurologist agreed that there isn’t much reason to be on so many medications if the migraines have stayed about the same. So Galilee has gone off one medication already, and will probably go off the others one at a time while monitoring to make sure the migraines at least don’t worsen. This has been a long road, and we are so thankful to all of you who have not grown weary in lifting up this need to the Lord with us. DJ will have IT team meetings in Florida next week. Pray that the meeti ..read more
