The Senior School India cricket tour proved to be an absolutely incredible experience for the 31 pupils, four staff and two parents who spent 12 days in the worlds most populous country, all of whom are mad keen on cricket! The 1st XI won three of their four games which was an outstanding effort considering the heat and humidity, and the standard of the opposition. Robbie B and Sam E making 100’s overseas in our first fixture were two particular highlights. The 2nd XI competed very well and must be commended for showing huge resilience and courage in their performances against some q ..read more

Swaledale starts near Muker and ends at Richmond. The six DofE Silver walkers entered the dale from Tan Hill Inn a few miles north of Muker and on the way they had to climb over a big hill called Robert’s Seat. Miss Buxton Collins said they corrected a small detour and reached the first campsite at Usha Gap in good time. It rained on and off all day and the next day, when they headed east along the River Swale to the second campsite near Reeth. They did not get lost once and continued to maintain a good pace. Mountain leader and expedition supervisor, Allan Moore could not believe how quickly ..read more
