The Jets traded down during the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, but according to SNY’s Connor Hughes, the team made an attempt to move up in the draft. Hughes notes that Giants and Bears were “locked in” on LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers and Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze, respectively. That could lead one to believe the Jets were attempting to trade with those teams at No. 6 and No. 9, respectively. Ultimately, those teams stayed put and added weapons for quarterbacks Daniel Jones and Caleb Williams. The Jets ended up getting mid-round picks from the Minnesota Vikings to move down on ..read more

Trades are always a huge part of the NFL Draft. But how can we tell if a trade is valuable for a team? We have the Jimmy Johnson trade chart, of course. Johnson devised a chart in the 1990s while with the Dallas Cowboys and assigned point values to every pick in the draft, from 3,000 points for the No. 1 pick down to one point for the last handful of picks in the seventh round. Teams have since devised more modern charts thanks to the rookie wage scale introduced in 2011. Rich Hill’s chart, which starts at 1,000 points for the No. 1 pick, has gained in popularity among the league and analysts ..read more

There’s quite an amount of interest for Jets fans in this year’s draft. There are plenty of strong options at all the top positions of need for the Jets. The team is currently set to make the 10th selection in Thursday’s first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. So when should fans expect the team to make the pick, if they keep the No. 10 pick? Think somewhere between 9:00 and 9:30 eastern Thursday night. Two years ago, the Jets took wide receiver Garrett Wilson at about 9:15 Thursday night.
