What do I miss most about living in New Jersey? The abundance of parks. Where we used to live in New Jersey, we had 3 parks within a walking distance, 3 playgrounds, baseball fields, tennis courts and a hiking trail. Upstate New York has a lot to offer, especially being close to family, but the towns DEFINITELY need to step up their playground and park game.   There is something luxurious about having your family portraits taken in a photography studio. The lighting, the ambiance, the simplicity of it all, adds an elevated touch to the photographs. The focus is almost always on those in front of my camera, and very little on the environment.   When Kelly Strong puts together a team for a wedding editorial, she puts together one heck of a team. Kelly is an absolute event design genius and her calm, inviting personality is an absolute asset on a wedding day when there are many moving parts.   I absolutely adore this family. In 2020, they were one of my last family sessions before an unexpected shut down of my business. Getting to photograph this family again with a new addition in 2021 gave me all the feels. We made it through the muddiest of times and made it to the sunshine.   One of the many wishes I had for my pandemic couples was that, when their rescheduled wedding day did come, the weather was absolutely spectacular.   Suzanna and Josh’s wedding at Belle Mer in Newport, Rhode Island was just as incredible as it looked. Originally, they planned to marry in 2020 in Upstate New York.
