If you are 5 years old, then meeting BLUE is kind of a big deal! But there was so much to enjoy at Pacific Werribee’s Jurassic World set up. It's been 3 years since the last time we visited the Fun 4 Kids Festival. It's in Warrnambool, so it's a bit of a trek.  But today I walked in, and all of the magic of our first visit came right back.  First of all, their line up- Jimmy Giggle, Lah Leah's big live band (today), Trolls, Paw Patrol and so many other wonderful shows to give you an opportunity to have something to eat and to sit and enjoy a performance.  Then there are all of the zones. I am so glad we aren't squeezing it all into one day. We arrived a little after lunch and looked at all of the zones, mapped out w ..read more

If you follow our page, you may have noticed that we went to Bali and then we disappeared for a few months basically. No where to be seen. No explaination. Gone. Coincidentally, we are about the leave for Bali again! Many years ago, hubby and I had a goal to purchase a house in our dream suburb. I can remember sitting down with my cousin and telling him about it. And his reply was simply 'do it!' Then I told him that we were hoping to start a family soon. His reply was 'then that's your real goal, the other one doesn't count' The difference, you see, between a goal and a dream is a plan. We w ..read more

'It was the best in the universe!' Said Mr almost 5 as we left the show this evening and he wasn't even joking. Where do I start? Parking? There is parking at the show, at the local primary school and in some random people's front yard sometimes! There are gates on Epsom Rd, Langs Rd and via the car park as well as access via the train station. Here are a few tips for a well executed day out. Tip 1: plan your day. There is so much to see and do, it's a good idea to know when the various shows are on so you can work the other activities around them. The boys would have loved the Looney Toons s ..read more

On Sunday, we visited the gorgeous Sovereign Hill for their Winter Wonderlight Christmas in July. If you haven't visited Ballarat before, home of Sovereign Hill, the most important thing for you to note is that it's cold. When we arrived at around lunch time, and it was 4degrees. We made a quick pit stop at Coles from some gloves and a scarf, but we were already dressed in double and triple layers of everything else. When we arrived at Sovereign Hill, we were happy that they had some gloves and beanies for the kids in the gift shop that were reasonably priced (kids gloves $8). Being lunch tim ..read more

Our Mr 4 Interviewed Cookie Monster AND THEN......

Last week we were lucky enough to interview Cookie Monster. THE Cookie Monster, resident of Sesame Street. For this interview, I thought we would do something a little different and I let Mr 4 do the interviewing. I asked him to come up with 5 of his own questions – and after we established the difference between a question and a statement, he came up with 5 little questions, all of the important things that a 4 year old needs to know about a celebrity of this caliber. I spent a couple of weeks looking for a Cookie Monster T-Shirt with no luck (found one 4 days afterwards of course!), we pick ..read more

Week 2: Fun Memberships This post originally appeared on the www.accessionfinance.com.au blog Well it was one step forward last week with our Insurance Saving. But then, as life often does, our poor fluffly girl was injured when grass seeds went into her paws. (Note: don't walk your dogs through long grass...) It has so far cost $450, as she needed to be anethesised, BUT she is on the mend and that's all that really matters. But it definitely served as a reminder to us how important it is to have those savings tucked away. This week I want to share something that we started last year to save ..read more
