Visiting from Brighton for a few nights in autumn. Family is part Scottish but we've never been to Glasgow. Husband and I need to know where we should take my Boomer parents for food. They like typical pub grub, fish and chips, maybe an Indian. No buffets. Any ideas?

I’ve come to Glasgow as an engineer to help in making the city a better place for all of us but the sheer amount of racism I’ve encountered in the past 12 months is unbearable. Since I’ve been here I’ve had my van smashed in, people calling me a ni**r and pki while driving by, vandalism on my door(piss all over) and tonight my vans had racial slurs written all over it(albeit I believe it to be school kids). I’m thinking to call it quits and move back to London. I was wondering if racism is as rife in rest of Glasgow as it is in Toryglen - would moving areas solve the issue?

I seem to remember there was an Arby's on Union Street opposite the entrance to central station but can't find any pictures or details.
It was a very long time ago so maybe I'm mistaken if anyone can help

I’ve only ever used scotrail between Glasgow and Edinburgh (don’t go particularly often) and today I bought an anytime day return ticket on the scotrail app.
Going back I looked at what was the soonest/ quickest train that would get me to central by using the scotrail app to search train times. When I got to the train it was a LNER train which confused me so I saw the ticket conductor and asked him if I could use a scotrail ticket on this train and he said no and told me the next scotrail one I could get.
I had to wait 15 mins for that train and it takes a good 20 minutes longer. It felt a bi ..read more

Any help appreciated! My aunt needs a mother of the groom outfit but doesn't have time to go somewhere that requires a booking. Apart from Hobbs, Phase Eight, John Lewis, and House of Fraser, is there anywhere in the city centre that might have anything? TIA!

I'm going to see Green Day at Bellahouston with my cousin and we're looking at booking a hotel as last time we went it was a nightmare trying to get home by public transport. Is there any hotels close to the park anyone can recommend?

Hi!
I come here just to hear opinions on a matter that has been bugging me for the past few months.
Down my street there is a neighbour with one of these huge dogs. It's either a bulldog or an American bully, but it's hard to me to spot the difference really.
I wouldn't have a big issue if it weren't for the fact that everytime I see him walking it, he is pulling violently from the leash to walk him around ( I mean the owner just to clarify )
The other problem is that the dog is not muzzled or has any protection around its mouth. The owner is not either particularly strong, he must weight at ..read more

Bunch of weans, 14-15, with the help of an older women, smashing shops up and demanding money. Woman stays outside. News & Views got done in Byres Rd last week. Lifted lots of stuff and somehow got £100. They came back the next night and wanted £200 to leave the place alone. Police obviously involved.
Little shits.
