when i look at a flower most often i see the familiar. the traits i like most. i am looking for an open star shape. so in this case i am slightly disappointed when the petals curve back and obscure that shape. i look for solid unblemished areas of color. and for green reaching up into the other colors in the throat of the flower. i look at the stamens mimicking the color changes in the petals and holding their treasure of powdery pollen above the bloom. and ruffles too… click on image to enlarge © Copyright John Hric All rights reserved.
