What a way to cap National Ice Cream Month: The Akron Zoo will play host to its annual Chillin’ at the Zoo ice cream tasting event on July 27 from 6-9 p.m. Ice cream stations will be set up throughout the park that feature fun flavors, like Campfire Toasted S’mores and Cupcake. Tickets include four samples of ice cream, admission to the zoo after hours, animal encounters and other activities. Free carousel rides on the Conservation Carousel also are available. David Corvi and his wife, Katherine, remember vivid details from Oct. 26, 2021, the day they found out their third son, Charlie, was stillborn – 13 days shy of his due date.
