It was announced on Wednesday that the voice of the Browns and truly a legendary radio announcer Jim Donovan has leukemia once again. He is also the WKYC sports anchor and involved with Cleveland sports for many years.
What exactly is leukemia? It’s a cancer of the early blood-forming cells.
Here is a message from Browns owners Jimmy and Dee Haslam:
“Our thoughts and the thoughts of the entire organization are with Jim and his family right now in this difficult time. There is no better representative of the Cleveland Browns. He is as tough as they come and proved as much in his previous b ..read more

On this date in 2007, the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Detroit Pistons on the road in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Yes, it was that classic game where LeBron James scored the team’s last 25 points in order to win, 109-107, in double overtime. The Wine & Gold went up three games to two and ended up winning the series in six games.
This game carries a lot of meaning for me now as a 26-year-old young man. I remember watching it with my father at home and celebrating the victory with a couple beers…just kidding. I probably had a Caffeine-Free Diet Coke or something HAHA.
I had ..read more

The 1948 Cleveland Indians were the last Cleveland team to win a World Series, but how much do we all know about this team? It was a team that had a young player-manager and brought in an iconic pitcher from another league in July as a reinforcement to one of the best pitching staffs of all time.
Most of us aren’t old enough to remember 1948. My dad graduated from high school in 1954. Growing up, I heard more about the 1954 team, which is legendary in its own right. After all, that team featured two 23-game winners and set a record by winning 111 games before falling to the Willie Mays-led Gia ..read more

There has been lots of speculation since wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins was released by the Arizona Cardinals as to who would be the team to most likely land the star wide receiver.
Well, according to PointsBet Sportsbook the Browns have the 11th-best odds. Take a look:
Chiefs +300
Bills +300
Jets +600
Ravens +700
Chargers +950
Cowboys +1000
Lions +1200
Patriots +1200
Eagles +1500
Jaguars +1800

Yeah, those don’t appear to be convincing that the Browns have any real opportunity to sign Hopkins to a contract.
The one big nuance that Cleveland does have is quarterback D ..read more

There’s no such thing as being too good of a football team. Yes, here in Cleveland while the Browns certainly show some promise this coming year, there is always room for improvement. Even after the team had a very successful draft.
Well, the news broke this past week that wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins was released by the Arizona Cardinals.
Via Pro Football Talk – “As one source explained it to PFT on Saturday morning, Hopkins currently expects to secure a significant contract on the open market. The problem, however, is that no one wanted to trade for his prior deal, which paid less than $20 ..read more

I always found Comedy Central’s sketch comedy show Key and Peele to be very hit or miss. A lot of the humor that Keegan Michael Key and Jordan Peele would portray on screen could be an acquired taste. They weren’t really slapstick. Some of the laughs were often far from obvious. Much of their work was eccentric and flirting with the line of absurdity while other sketches were just plain odd. Ultimately, the show made its mark in the ratings, won a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Scripted Variety Series in 2016 and continues to live on the internet with its sketches getting millions of views on ..read more
