A woman has been arrested amid an ongoing investigation into a fatal car crash in Co. Cork. Gardaí have confirmed that the woman, who is aged in her 40s, was arrested under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.  The woman is currently being detained at a Garda station in Cork. The Government is expected to announce a significant increase in funding for student accommodation. Today, Cabinet is set to highlight plans to allocate €100m in funding for over 1,000 student accommodation beds at three universities. Gardaí have launched a missing persons appeal for a woman missing from Dublin. 45-year-old Veronica Matache is currently missing from her home in Tyrellstown, Dublin 15. She was last seen at around 2.00pm on Saturday (April 20).  Veronica is described as being 5 foot 7 inches tall with a broad build.
