We’re inspired by (and slightly jealous of) the pride and happiness captured in the image above.  It shows the  team at MILA,  a small fairtrade, GOTS certified factory in Southern India who work with BWS brand Project Pico. The factory provides a safe, worker friendly environment. Employees are insured, paid the Living Wage and have access to pensions and healthcare. Many of the brands we work with make their garments in factories audited by the Fairwear Foundation. Level Collective for example have their factories audited daily, while Idioma works with suppliers that focus on ..read more

Brava x Davez - 'Play the Game' Collection

When I imagine my childhood - my clothes stick out to me the most. The colours and pairings and influences and lack of influences. A yellow football shirt, a long denim skirt, jelly shoes, multicoloured scarf, a trilby - all in the same outfit. It’s interesting to stop and think about the age you stop wearing whatever you want. When you start to think about what you should wear. When people start to say ‘I can’t wear that, that’s not my colour, that’s not very manly’. Brava’s collection “Play the Game”, in collaboration with Spanish artist Coco Dávez, encapsulates the idea that you can go bac ..read more

Your browser does not support our video. This is AJ. He collaborated with Lars Gödeke and Save The World Studios on a project called #dancewithnature, connected by a vision to heal mother nature. Wearing the Organic Earth Day Tee from Lars’ World Supporting Goods label, AJ expresses the urgency of climate change through Krumping, a style of street dance. We were struck by the video and wanted to ask AJ about how Krumping helps him express this urgent message, and what the t-shirt means to him. This is what he said: “When I was little I always wanted to learn to dance and didn't want to le ..read more

Hey everyone, it’s James here. I'm often the one behind the blog posts you’ll see on BWS. And, that’s me with my friend Seb, looking pretty goofy, pointing to exactly what we're talking about today.
