Els Van Hoof (CD&V), the chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, was hacked by Chinese spies in 2021. This appears from an FBI report, reports Het Nieuwsblad. Van Hoof allegedly opened some emails at the time, allowing hackers to obtain her IP address. "They want to intimidate me, but I'm not going to give in to it," Van Hoof responded. submitted by /u/tesrepurwash121810 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hello! So, I am French and I dropped out of my PASS (first common year of health studies) due to mental health issues among other things (I am doing better now as I am being followed by a psychiatrist). The only reason I was doing PASS was to get into pharmacy or medicine and become a medical biologist. Unfortunately, I can no longer attempt the competitive exam before my second year of undergraduate studies, which is in two years. But I saw that in Belgium, admission is not subject to a competitive exam. I have a pretty good academic record, (17.11 in the baccalaureate specializing in physic ..read more

Iemand een idee ..read more

Legal pto days after moving from abroad
Belgium | Reddit

Hello! I recently moved from another EU country to Belgium for a new job. I signed a contract that said I would be getting 20 days of legal PTO + a few additional days. All of 2023 and the first 3 months of 2024, I was employed in my home country, and we don't work with holiday certificates, so I wasn't able to provide those to my new employer. Now after having been at my job for a few weeks, I received a message from HR stating that I get 0 legal PTO days, they explained that this is because I wasn't employed in Belgium in 2023, and next year, I will only get 15 legal days because I was empl ..read more
