The Tennessee Titans hired John Fassel as special teams coordinator on Monday, replacing Colt Anderson in that role. Anderson has not been fired as of yet and it is unclear what his role will be going forward. After having one of the worst special teams units in the league in 2024, one of Mike Borgonzi’s first moves was to replace Anderson with a veteran in the special teams world. Fassel had no previous connections to the Titans or anyone within its organization, and the same is true of Borgonzi. These decisions highlight the Titans’ desire for a fresh perspective on turning things around, a ..read more

The Tennessee Titans have some serious adjustments to make this offseason after going 3-14 in 2024. They started the 2025 offseason by firing general manager Ran Carthon and bringing in Mike Borgonzi to replace him. Brian Callahan remains the head coach, and while Colt Anderson remains with the team, he is no longer the special teams coordinator. Aside from staff changes, there are likely to be a number of adjustments made to player personnel. To that end, Over the Cap created a list of the top 100 cut candidates for 2025, and there are four Titans on that list. Steve Roberts-Imagn Images LB ..read more

The Tennessee Titans split their season series with the Houston Texans in 2024, with their Week 12 victory likely being the highlight of the season.  Matchups with the Texans are always huge games, not only is it a divisional battle, the shared history of the cities will always add motivation to the series. From the ownership to the players, the Titans always want to beat the Texans.  This season, the Texans took the top spot in the AFC South and finished as the No. 4 seed in the AFC playoffs. After a win in the Wild Card round, they had to travel to Kansas City, where their season e ..read more

The Tennessee Titans hired their new general manager, Mike Borgonzi, late last week. After settling in, it’s likely that he will begin to make his impact felt. One of the ways he will do that is by hiring an assistant general manager, and so far, there are three names at the top of the list: Dave Ziegler, Ken Dorsey, and Jim Nagy. Dave Ziegler has been with the New Orleans Saints as a personnel advisor for the last year after being fired from the Las Vegas Raiders in 2023. Prior to that, he was with the New England Patriots for 11 years in several roles as assistant director of pro scouting, d ..read more

Will Titans GM Mike Borgonzi make any coaching changes?
Titans Wire
by Serena Burks

The Tennessee Titans landed on a new general manager last week, hiring Kansas City Chiefs assistant general manager Mike Borgonzi. He didn’t have many connections to the Titans prior to his hiring, but he is very connected throughout the league and is well-known as a great personnel manager. The Titans goal is clear: Rebuild the right way. To that end, while we already know that Brian Callahan will remain the head coach, will Borgonzi make any other coaching changes? We obviously won’t know until (or if) it happens, but some are specifically questioning if special teams coordinator Colt Anders ..read more

The Tennessee Titans surprised many with the hiring of former Kansas City Chiefs assistant general manager Mike Borgonzi as their new GM. Borgonzi was arguably the best candidate available and he should bring a different attitude to the front office. Borgonzi is an experienced personnel man with many connections throughout the league that should open doors with both players and organizations. The move could also have ramifications within his former organization, as he played a major role in all personnel matters. One person who went out of the way to applaud this hire was his former employer ..read more

Former NFL All-Pro praises Titans' Tony Pollard: 'Largely overlooked'

There is no doubt that the Tennessee Titans struggled in 2024. At 3-14, they fired their general manager and are headed into rebuild mode with Mike Borgonzi steering the ship. Offensively, it was a battle each week. Uneven quarterback play coupled with a porous offensive line never allowed the offense to truly get into a rhythm. If Tennessee did have a bright spot on offense, it was the rushing attack, which was productive when called upon. Both Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears had their moments, with Pollard proving to be a solid free-agent investment. Unfortunately, the game plan did not a ..read more

The Tennessee Titans just hired Mike Borgonzi as their new general manager. He, along with president of football operations Chad Brinker, will be tasked with building Tennessee into a championship-caliber organization. The Titans do have some talent on their roster and are in a place where they can ascend quickly if the right moves are made. Unfortunately, there are many to be made, including finding a quarterback, solidifying the offensive line, adding playmakers, and building depth across the board. They do have roughly $55 million in cap space to work with and controlling the No. 1 overall ..read more
