Nordli bed frame drawer not soft closing?

I’ve had this bed frame for about 4 years now and have moved and rebuilt it 3 times (this being the third). Never had any problems with it, but this time around one of my drawer slide/mounts isn’t performing. I’ve attached a video that shows the problematic one and then what the slide is supposed to look like. The same thing is happening, albeit a bit better, on the opposite corner. (The problem slides are on the drawer of the head on the left side of the frame, and on the foot of the right side of the bed). Do they need more oil or something? They also obviously haven’t been cleaned real ..read more

Hi installed my ikea godmorgan plumbing kit and everything works but I have a leak under the drain in the sink. Am I supposed to use silicone under the foam gasket? Or is it just not tight enough? submitted by /u/neeksimons [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Does Ikea take and dispose old furniture after new furniture delivery?

Sorry if this a stupid question. I have a bed frame and mattress that's not from Ikea. I want to purchase new ones from Ikea, and will have it delivered and assembled by Task Rabbit. I was wondering if I need to take my old bed apart before they arrive? And will they dispose my old bed for me as well? Or do they take Ikea furniture only? It's very bulky and I just got my home freshly painted this week. I don't want to fuck up and accidentally scratch my walls while disassembling and lugging it down the stairs LOL. My bed frame and mattress are quite massive. submitted by /u/jelly_dove [visit ..read more

The new MALM dresser wont let me open more than 1 drawer at a time

Why is this weird hook there? The instruction manual says to open this hook by pulling it up before inserting the drawers. Now I cannot open 2 or more drawers at a time. Maybe this was done to avoid kids getting the dresser tripped over? How do I fix this? submitted by /u/Conscious-Witness459 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hey guys. I had a Haugesund that got delivered Sunday morning. It’s now Wednesday afternoon and the corners are yet to fully expand. What should I do? Should I try sleeping on it and hoping it finally takes full shape? Or try calling the IKEA customer support? submitted by /u/Turbulent-Ad-491 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I've got a 67" section thats 2" too large for the 75cm frame, and have been planning on cutting one down to fit the space. Does anyone have any insight on whether I should do that now, or if it would be better off to wait for the revised model? submitted by /u/HAC522 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Microwave in 24" sektion tall kitchen cabinet?

Hello, I want to put a 24" wide (90" tall) pantry cabinet in my kitchen and have the microwave in it. The tall cabinets with microwave shelves are only 30" wide. My microwave is going to fit inside the 24" wide cabinet, can I customize the cabinet to have a shelf for the microwave? I see the 30" cabinet has a reinforced shelf that can hold 300 lbs but the microwave doesn't weigh much, a standard shelf should hold it. Is the reinforced utrusta shelf just a regular shelf with metal brackets? Can I use the brackets from a 30" shelf in a regular 24" shelf to make a microwave shelf? submitted by ..read more
