Hello, My name is John and I have started a new project called "Echocache". I have been doing music for about twenty years, as a hobby. But I would love to be able to get some mixing/mastering gigs as a side hustle. Since youtube and IG is a vast sea where new talent get next to zero attention, I would love to have some feedback on my music. Everything is done in the box, thru and apollo X6, and the only outboard gear I have is a Daking mic pre one through which I run an RE20. I track into Logic Pro where I do my production then mix in UAD LUNA using the API console emulation. I'd love to reco ..read more

Hi, I am Lindsay Jupp and I manage Strange World Music. I started writing at the beginning of 2002 met a young musician from Norway, we wrote some songs together. The collaboration was a bit short lived so when it came to an end I continued writing but could not find a collaborator. It was 2019 when I finally got music for my lyrics and I have been making songs ever since. I have featured artists on some of my songs and I hope to maybe achieve having a song licensed for TV or an advert or even a film ..read more

Songwriting Development - Internal Rhymes and Alliteration
Songstuff Forum

Hey Gang This songwriting mission, should you choose to accept it, is to write some lyrics, any song form, any genre, any topic, but a key feature of your lyrics should be the use of internal rhymes and alliteration. Just in case you are unsure of either of those terms, an internal rhyme is a rhyme within a line: Then he chose, but froze, as he delivered his line And alliteration is a rhyme on the beginning of a word, starting with the same letter or phonic: She sells sea shells on the sea shore There’s no real deadline, but it is good if we can get some songs in on a challenge around the same ..read more

Sometimes, it is so overwhelming

I know I chose to be a full time musician but man, sometimes the amount of work that you have to do during music release years - it's frustratingly excessive. The thing that I find most annoying is the social media content stuff - writing blogs, making videos, website design and on and on. Though I don't necessarily align with those who do no marketing at all, but I resonate with them! Sometimes, you just want to write the music and everything else to fall in place lol ..read more

Putting Together The Perfect Setlist
Songstuff Forum
by

Hey Gang Every performance is a journey, not just for us as performers but for our audience too. One of the key elements to a memorable show is the setlist. It sets the tone, builds the atmosphere, and hopefully leaves the crowd wanting more. That's why I want to open up a discussion today about how we all go about crafting that perfect setlist. I might not have spent hours at a time on my set lists, but I always gave my set lists due care and attention. The set list lays out the journey to be travelled by your audience. Just like the sections of a song, the set list has the songs ordered, the ..read more
