Starting law school in the fall and currently debating between getting the 13” or 15” Macbook Air. I’ve had a 13” Pro for 8 years and I’m worried the 15 will feel too big but also have heard that the bigger the screen the better for law school. Any insight will be appreciated!! I’m also prone to migraines if that changes anything. submitted by /u/Fragrant-Zucchini701 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Location: AU, Sydney I come from a design background and spent some years working as a designer after graduating. Over time, I discovered my passion for marketing and strategy. I've been in the marketing sector focusing on strategy for years and have climbed up to a senior marketer position. Now in my mid-30s, I’m looking for a more stable career with potential for future growth, which is why I'm considering a shift to law. I am currently pursuing a Master's in IP Law, but I've hit a snag. Registering as a Patent lawyer appears to require a BA in science, IT, or engineering, along with an add ..read more

Love that I’m reviewing my brief for oral arguments and I’m finding all the problems in my brief which I could have improve on ? like better arguments and a different case I could’ve used. I’m never rereading a brief again after I submit. I was so proud of it too and now I’m nervous and stressed out submitted by /u/shzbsnnsns [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

1L Summer Associate and an RA?

One of my professors reached out to me and asked if I wanted to be a part-time research assistant for her this summer. I already have a BL summer associate position, which she knows about (which is why she asked if I wanted to be PT). I’m interested in her work but I don’t want to spread myself too thin. I told her that if I did RA, I would only be able to do a max of 10 hrs/wk. She is very kind and I’m sure she would be flexible & accommodating. Does anyone have experience doing this or advice about whether it’s a good idea? I also haven’t asked anyone at my firm about it and wasn’t sure ..read more

Recently accepted into law school. Love my day job & need my salary to be able to afford to go to school, but have always wanted to earn my JD. Is it possible to be involved in student organizations (Bar Review, Moot Court, SBA, etc.) while attending law school at night? (Monday through Thursday, 6 to 9:30pm)Or do they all meet in the evenings? Interested in your input. Thanks. submitted by /u/Inevitable-Ad-3854 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Is JAG a good opportunity to travel/see the world?

I am a 2L and am seriously considering becoming a JAG. I am primarily interested in it for the opportunity to live abroad and experience new countries. As such, I would apply to Air Force or Navy as I have heard that these will provide you with the greatest chance of going abroad. Is becoming a JAG a good opportunity to live abroad and see the world or is this not a reality? submitted by /u/MuchCompetition3363 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
