Oh, the sheer joy of finding homes like the one Anna Swain and her husband Andrew built in Byron Bay! A home that draws you in with it’s warmth and distinct personality. A home that is beautifully put together with carefully handpicked architectural elements and decor odds and ends. A home that feels so inviting and comforting. The easy vibe of this new-old home is aptly captured by Anna on her Instagram account. Look at my favorites in this post and read more about how the home was built and designed, here. {All Images: Anna Swain ..read more

I am the happiest when I am in the mountains. I am not the lets-get-to-the-peak or climb-that-rock-face kind of a mountain person; I am the give-me-my-warm-cosy-cottage and the view of mountains outside kind of person. Today I needed that good ol’ soul comfort that only a mountain cottage can give, and I found it in this lovely little cottage in Ireland. Presenting to you, the Limehouse cottage, with views to sigh at and interiors to live happily in, and never leave. Sigh. I am not leaving. Well not leaving stalking Unique Homestays for another hour or so, for there are more mountain cottages ..read more

It’s time for fall in one side of the world, and spring in another. Whatever the season, cottage-y interiors always feel good and makes one long for the place we call home. In line with the mood of the day, I picked my favorite rooms from some stunning homes on Inigo, an estate agency for historic homes across the United Kingdom. Cottage chic done right!     [All Images: Inigo ..read more

And, I pop up again! After months of hibernation, I am back with renewed vigour, my bag of creative goodies bursting at it’s seams. There will come a fine day when I will pen down this mega phase of my hibernation-resurfacing-hibernation life, but for now, I have resurfaced for good. Since the time I last blogged consistently, a lot has happened in the world of interiors and design. From new designers to newer brands, fresh perspectives and aesthetics, rapidly evolving design sensibilities and our response in the form of what is precious to us to the ever changing social and world situation a ..read more

This time of the year always reminds me of one of my favorite cities to be in during the monsoon – Goa. The magnificence of monsoonal storms, the fury of tropical rain and the explosion of nature, is awe inspiring, and I never tire of it. With Goa on my mind, it’s only apt that I share with you something from my once-home coastal city. Presenting the beautifully done up, 100 year old Portugese heritage property – Turiya Villa, the brainchild and creative baby of Sandesh Prabu, who put together his training as an architect and his interest in design and interiors to excellent use in restoring ..read more
