The UFC returns to Rio de Janeiro this Saturday evening for UFC 301, as Alexandre Pantoja looks to successfully defend his flyweight title against the rising Steve Erceg. With this being the PPV following on from UFC 300, it has caused quite a stir. With UFC 300 being so incredibly stacked, this event was always going to look like its skinny little brother. The fact that number 10 ranked, Steve Erceg, got the call to challenge for the title also didn’t sit well with the majority of fans, as he’s not a big household name. Despite that, the Auzzie is more than ready for the big moment, and fans ..read more

Jake Paul and Mike Tyson will be putting it all on the line when they compete in a controversial boxing match this summer. The YouTuber-turned-boxer is 9-1 as a professional, and has a chance to add to that record after his fight with heavyweight legend Tyson was sanctioned in the state of Texas last week. But that decision has divided fans and experts, with many feeling that at 58 the boxing icon shouldn’t be fighting. Paul is 27-years-old, and will be moving up to heavyweight for the fight after previously weighing in as low as 183lb for his professional bouts. Meanwhile, Tyson will be compe ..read more

Two-weight UFC champion Alex Pereira has blasted through MMA in just 12 fights, and now could be on track to make more history. The Brazilian had just four fights to his name in the cage when he made his UFC debut in 2021 after a successful kickboxing career. Eight fights on and he has won belts at middleweight and light-heavyweight, and wins over the likes of Israel Adesanya, Jiri Prochazka and Jamahal Hill. But given his tremendous ability to gain weight after cutting to 185lb or 205lb, many believe that he should relieve himself of that struggle and move up to heavyweight. There, he would l ..read more

Conor McGregor isn’t the only big-name fighter who has taken an ownership stake in BKFC after last weekend’s Knucklemania event. The Irish UFC icon announced during the promotion’s pay-per-view broadcast that he is coming on board as an owner. It came after he visited a BKFC fight last year in Colorado between Mike Perry and former rival Eddie Alvarez. But McGregor isn’t the only big-name investor in BKFC; film producer Ryan Kavanaugh has been involved and Tik Tok star Bryce Hall is also attached after fighting for them last August. But now a new star name has been added to the backroom, build ..read more

Legendary UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones appears to have little interest in taking on interim title holder Tom Aspinall and unifying the division. Jones, who dominated the light-heavyweight division for years before moving up to 265lb last year, won the belt at UFC 285 in March of 2023. He was due to defend his title against Stipe Miocic, but suffered a torn pec that required surgery and extensive rehabilitation. In the meantime, Aspinall was booked against Sergei Pavlovich for the interim belt which he won within just under 80 seconds. Since then, the Brit has been pursuing a clash with J ..read more

MMA fans and experts were left in disarray as a fighter due to compete on UFC 301 tomorrow night arrived 3lb under the featherweight limit at today’s weigh-ins. French fighter William Gomis looked withered as he arrived for the weigh-ins at the fighter hotel in Rio De Janeiro this morning. He even broke tradition and kept his clothes on as he was assisted on to the scales by coaches and UFC staff. Eventually, commission officials tipped the scales until he weighed in at 143lb, meaning that he over shot what was likely a gruelling overnight cut.
