SANTA ANA — A 22-year-old man has been charged with sexually assaulting an 18-year-old Chapman University freshman outside of her dormitory early Friday morning. Dalante Jerome Bell, 22, of Anaheim, has been charged with one felony count of assault with intent to commit a sex offense and sexual penetration by a foreign object. Bell faces a maximum of sentence of eight years in state prison if convicted on all charges. He is currently being held at the Theo Lacy Facility in Orange on $500,000. Anaheim sexual assault detectives working with the internet crimes against children task force received a tip that Mr. Erik Robles, age 27 resident of Anaheim, was possessing and distributing child pornography. Detectives served a search warrant at his residence and discovered over 1000 images and videos of child pornography, which included some images of children as young as infants. Joshua Michael Petro, a 32-year-old man suspected of running over 36-year-old Stephen McGuire of El Monte in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven store in Anaheim, is now facing murder charges. The incident happened on Saturday, at 12:38 a.m., at the 7-Eleven store located at 107 W. Ball Road, near Anaheim Boulevard.
