WFPD officers responded this morning at 6:28 am to 1415 North Rosewood in regard to CPR being done on a 3-year-old child. The child was eventually transported to the URHCS. The child was later pronounced deceased. The WFPD Crime Against Persons and Crimes Against Children detectives are currently investigating this incident.  The cause of death is not yet known ..read more

Officers located 70 year old James Shierling, dob 05-04-52, deceased inside the apartment. The death is being investigated as a homicide. Next of kin has been notified. The investigation is ongoing. WFPD officers responded this afternoon at 4:05 pm to the intersection of Southwest Parkway and Taft Blvd to investigate an injury crash. The officers arrived and discovered a Suzuki motorcycle that was traveling west bound through the intersection struck the passenger side of a Ford F-150 pickup truck. The truck was turning left from Southwest Parkway to travel north bound on Taft Blvd when the crash occurred.
