Logitech G502 X Plus Review

The Logitech G502 X Plus gaming mouse is a strange thing to me. Not too long ago, Logitech relaunched its iconic G502 Hero mouse as the G502 X with LIGHTSPEED wireless to much success. The G502 X Plus is a follow up to that mouse(maybe even replaces it since I can’t find it available on Logitechs website) but despite the name, doesn’t add much at all other than RGB lighting. The G502 X Plus retails for anywhere between $249.99 — $299.99 depending on when and where you buy. For that money, you get all the very best LIGHT features: LIGHTSPEED wireless, LIGHTFORCE Hybrid switches, a Hero 25K opti ..read more

Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro Edition Review

Asus has launched the latest version of its famous ROG phone, and it is quite impressive. The Asus ROG Phone 8 has received a complete redesign and now looks sleek and polished, making it comparable to the iPhone 15 Pro Max and Samsung Galaxy S24. However, it comes with a high price tag to match. This year, there are three versions of the ROG Phone 8: the ROG Phone 8 ($1,799), ROG Phone 8 Pro ($1,999), and ROG Phone 8 Pro Edition ($2,499). All three models feature the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor with Adreno 750 graphics, but they differ in RAM, storage capacity, and display ..read more

Star Wars: Unlimited Review (Tabletop) – May Contain Force

Trading card games have seen a stunning resurgence of late and Magic The Gathering is leading the charge with crossovers out the wazoo. Just recently we’ve seen Dr Who and Fallout enter the world of Magic The Gathering, but one IP you won’t find joining the ranks is Star Wars. And that’s because Star Wars: Unlimited is a brand-new card game built from the ground up, using Star Wars as a basis. Thanks to some early access to the Spark of Rebellion two-player starter kit, I’ve been able to dive in and get into the action. Right off the bat, Star Wars: Unlimited immediately seems friendlier to ne ..read more

Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition Review (PC) – A port with renewed Focus

Can I just quickly say how amazing it can be to review PS5 games for a second time on PC? It’s like relapsing with an ex you once adored but somehow fell out with. In the interim, they’ve hit the gym hard, matured past some idiosyncrasies, and learned new tricks that make them extra fun to be with. And that, my friends, is absolutely the case with Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition—an “old” flame I’ve fallen for, harder than an Advanced Blast Trap to the ankles. Because, as suspected, the team at Nixxes has pulled off yet another quality port, and I shall now explain why you ought to swip ..read more

Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 Review: The New Gaming MacBook

As a professional designer/ creator who also loves to play AAA games, I have always admired the Apple MacBook Pro for its productivity and creator-centric features. However, even with the latest M3 chips, it still fails to cater to my gaming needs. So, when the Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 was announced at CES2024, I was super excited to get my hands on it. The new Zephyrus G16 is a beautiful gaming laptop that starts at $3,299.00. It features a machined metal chassis and can house Intels Core Ultra 9 processors, RTX 4090 GPU, and a Nebula HDR OLED display. It looks nothing like a traditional gaming ..read more

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Review (PS5) – Hardcore Pawn

Just as FromSoftware made that ‘Soulsborne’ to kick your arse, Capcom’s Dragon’s Dogma 2 was custom-built to be an absolute slog. Via design decisions that feel as heartless as its chesticle-challenged protagonist, director Hideaki Itsuno has curtailed or cut out the creature comforts expected from a modern ARPG. So much so, they should have just called this “Drags On” Dogma. None of the above is new news to fans of this series, however, as therein lies the bizarre charm of an openly obtuse GOTY contender. If you’ve got the temperament for wanton abuse, as I do, any journey where you must claw ..read more

Rise of the Ronin Review (PS5) | Masterless samurai jack of all trades

For a game about shredding fools into chunky kibbles with a cavalcade of katanas, Rise of the Ronin still isn’t what you’d call a cutting-edge experience. Its utilitarian visuals are as unpolished as a wooden sword. The open-world mechanics lashed around its ‘Soulslike’ hakama also aren’t a far cry from what’s been happening elsewhere for ages. And too many of its “samur-AI” can be strung along to their deaths, like you’re playing some sort of homicidal Hamamatsu Kite Festival. But while Team Ninja’s efforts on this samurai epic aren’t quite topknot-ch, I still couldn’t put my controller down ..read more

It’s amazing how OLED gaming monitors have evolved over the years, isn’t it? The latest third-generation OLED panel technology allows for refresh rates up to 360Hz, brighter levels, and burn-in protection features. Last year, Asus released the impressive PG27AQDM, one of the brightest and fastest OLED monitors available at the time. This year, Asus has gone a step further and introduced the ROG Swift OLED PG34WCDM, its first curved ultrawide monitor. If you thought the PG27AQDM was impressive, wait until you see this one! The new monitor boasts a resolution of 3440 x 1440 pixels, a gentle 800R ..read more

True wireless earphones are no longer the novelty they once were. Nowadays, you can find a great set at almost any budget, from cheap to premium, all coming with noise cancellation, excellent audio quality, and long battery life. However, choosing a premium pair is becoming increasingly difficult, and the new Master & Dynamic MW09 Active noise-canceling True Wireless Earphones don’t make it any easier. Although the MW09 is not currently available in Australia, it will cost you US $400 or roughly $600 Aussie dollars. That’s a lot of money! For comparison, both the critically acclaimed Apple ..read more

Asus ROG Strix Scar 18 2024 Review

Asus is back with a freshly updated ROG Strix Scar 18 for 2024, marketing it as the biggest, baddest laptop for serious gamers who won’t tolerate compromises. Designed for esports pros first, this massive 18-inch laptop is so delightfully over the top that even its absurd $7999.00 price tag can’t stop me from absolutely adoring it. This year, Strix Scar 18 gets an updated 14th-gen Intel i9 HX CPU, a minimum of 32GB DDR5 memory as standard and two M.2 SSDs in RAID0 configuration for blazing speed in productivity tasks. And a Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 powers an industry-leading and one-of-a-kind 1 ..read more
