Says it was sold by 'ASUS' but fulfilled by Amazon. It seems well, it POST, it picks up RAM up ect Says it was missing some items such as CD and screws It did have a left over screw in so my guess is it didn't fit someones case. So it should be fine right? Should I check/test anything else? submitted by /u/TheLegendOfStephen [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Will asus/ a repair store restore missing/broken hardware parts under warranty?

I have a flowx13 and it is working ok, there are just a few things that I want to get fixed. The corners being dented, missing bumpers (especially one on the bottom that makes my laptop wobbly), and broken fans. I went to Micro Center before when this computer wasnt working and they replaced the motherboard for no cost because it was covered by insurance, so they should be able to repair minor hardware problems, right? If this is not something covered by my warranty, is there a place where I can get missing parts? submitted by /u/sorrysadboy [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Zenbook trackpad noise

Zenbook pro 14 delivered today and the first thing I noticed is that if you lightly tap the touchpad it clicks with a kind of thud that seems to reverberate across the entire width of the device. When you press on the bottom half of the pad you can see it physically moving away from the case like it's not properly installed. Is there a way to fix this that doesn't void the warranty? It's not something I want to live with considering the price. submitted by /u/Pratt2 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Laptop Rec for UE5

Hi everyone! I want a laptop in the $1k-2k range for unreal engine development. Having a desktop setup would be ideal, but it would not be feasible due to my living situation. I'm conflicted between the Asus Zenbook, MSI, and HP OMEN series. Do any of you have any thoughts on this? Am I overlooking any major brand/series that I should know of? Here are my spec requirements (any feedback on this is also welcome): 32 GB RAM, RTX 4060, i7/i9 processor. submitted by /u/Holiday_Lion [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I just downloaded AiCloud to be able to access the USB hard drive attached to my RT-AC86U from my cellphone. How secure is this? It seems like there's not much security. submitted by /u/drnewcomb [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

All options related to cpu like core clock and voltage are greyed out and locked, as well as the gpu settings, I have an r5 7600x which is overclockable, so idk why I can’t change anything anywhere. I called Asus support and the guy said I should send it in for return, I definitely don’t wanna do that so anyone here got any ideas? submitted by /u/OkPlankton284 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

ASUS Premium Care for Zenbook Duo 2024

Well, my first impressions of new laptop are just awesome. Tremendous build quality, very quick for my workloads (Core Ultra 9) and so on. It's really transformed the way I use a laptop and I am super happy. Now I want to protect that experience. I have previously had VERY good service from Samsung when I had an issue with a Samsung eBook 2. From reporting an issue on a Thursday to sending it off I got it back repaired on the Monday afternoon (Seattle to Texas). That's my bar! Unfortunately, I have read some pretty unfortunate stories/opinions about ASUS support. I am considering purchasing a ..read more

I can't make custom resolutions on new drivers. I was able to make custom resolutions back in january but now it says "screen doesn't support this resolution". I have Rtx 4090 Rog strix oc and my monitor is 1440p. I tried to make 2400x1440 resolution which is smaller than native so I don't know why it won't work :( I tried clean install and everything but nothing seems to work. submitted by /u/T7MPE [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

UX8406 Dynamic Wallpaper?

So for whatever reason no matter how many times I reinstall, reset, or uninstall screenxprt it refuses to download the dynamic wallpaper .wav file in C:/programdata/asus/screenxpert/dynamicwallpaper leaving the folder empty. Can someone kindly share a link to the file so I can manually place it in that hidden folder? And what’s going on with the sluggish/inconsistent performance of this thing? Fresh windows runs well but the moment you install drivers the zenbook begins to slow down to a crawl unless it’s plugged to an outlet. And I’m getting nowhere near the 6+ hours many are reporting. sub ..read more
