Hello! I am in the process of getting some bids to redo the concrete walkway up to my front door, including my front steps. I noticed that on the estimates I got there were no permit fees or anything like that included, I asked about it and was told that a permit wasn't required. I did some googling online and found some information suggesting that I did need permits for this work... The contractors I got estimates from are licensed with the city and have plenty of good reviews so I guess my question is am I overthinking this or does this seem like a red flag? On a narrow one way street, I saw a car rudely swerve around a school bus to pass it. Then, the car gets in front of the school bus to block it from being able to move and a guy gets out of the car, RUNS around to the back of the bus (yellow school bus with children inside) and flings the rear emergency door open. I couldn't believe what I was seeing and thought it might be some sort of skit for a TV show. I'd like to meet the moron who decided to have construction on 5 Streets in different directions of Northeast off Hennepin all at once. Then have work go at a snails pace on one of these streets at a time. But keep the other streets blocked with cones for no reason. Most of the day theres no work being done. Right now there's no way in or out of my building that won't take 30 extra minutes. And there are at least another 5 large buildings affected. We are two ppl needing a one bed month by month until mid September, starting June 3rd. Budget tops at about $3k a month, we have cats. Pre-furnished is a huge plus and the closer to Mall of America or the blue line the better. We have a car but prefer to commute using bike and rail.
