Nora is an exceptional little girl. Sometimes you read or hear about a family or child and it really just hits you in the heart. I can say that about Nora. Say hello to Buffalo Zoo’s new FAB FOUR! On June 2nd and 3rd, the Buffalo Zoo’s African Lion Pride grew when they welcomed the birth of four active lion cubs. All cubs were born to their mother, Lusaka and father, Tiberius. The Zoo’s animal care team began monitoring Lusaka closely in the days before her giving birth and were watching via remote cameras when she went into labor. Three cubs were born late evening on June 2nd and one cub was born in the early hours of the 3rd. Having multiple cubs over the course of several hours is normal for the species. Baby Boy in Need of Liver Transplant! This baby boy needs YOU!! Meet sweet J’Mari. This adorable little boy has been through so much. JJ was diagnosed with Alagille Syndrome – which is a genetic disorder that can affect multiple organs. JJ’s liver & heart are affected. His skin & eyes have always been yellow. On September 26, 2021, Lilly was 8 years old, and she was a passenger in a UTV that was involved in a rollover accident. At the time of the accident, Lilly was in the care of a babysitter. Lilly sustained multiple injuries at the time of the accident which have impeded her life – her femur was broken, five (5) pelvic fractures, a spinal fracture, and in addition she suffered a rare internal injury called vesicovaginal fistula (VVF). Buffalo RiverWorks is expanding its footprint – big time! The attraction is growing and adding even more fun with a $2.7 million project, which includes a new thrill ride and a virtual reality attraction. The facility at 359 Ganson St., part of the Pearl Street Family of Cos., will launch the Jawz Drop ride in May, a 12-person, 55-foot drop and twist ride. A 37-year-old Buffalo firefighter died battling a four-alarm structure fire on Main Street, in Buffalo’s Theatre District.
