Hey everybody!
Long story short:
I was asked to take some photos on event and for the first time since I bought my camera it went crazy and didn’t cooperate with me.
I’m using first model of a7 with kit lens.
Problem:
1.I can’t take a picture only by pressing shutter button. I need to hold AEL button as well
2.With some settings I can never take a photo
3.Maybe I’m crazy, but the whole camera doesn’t feel right. Some functions work with a delay and some functions need a restart.
Solutions I’ve tried:
-on/off- nothing
-reset to default settings- nothing
-changing auto focus settings- nothing o ..read more

I recently bought the 6700 and am now trying to figure out which lenses might be best to go with it.
I would ideally like lenses that would cover me for most eventualities, so that I can experiment a bit.
I have read a bit about the Sigma trio of primes:
Sigma 16 mm F1.4
Sigma 30 mm F1.4
Sigma 56mm F1.4
I think the above seems like a reasonably sensible option.
However, I was wondering if the below might be better?
Would this not give me potentially a better range, with less lenses and for similar cost?
SIGMA 18-50MM F2.8
Sony E 70-350mm F4.5-6.3
It would be great to hear your thoughts ab ..read more

I have the a6400, and I’m slowly but steadily learning the ins and outs of this model. Every now and then, I stumble upon a new setting that I didn’t know about which can help a lot with taking better pictures. As an example, I just discovered that you can do auto-exposure-brackets and have a timer, but you need to enable it via another setting (which I just added to my FN menu).
So here’s the question: what are the best “hidden settings” you know of? It can be anything from a tip to an actual setting that, when you found it, made you go “woah, I wish I knew that sooner!”

Is the a7ii a bad choice I am upgrading from nikon d5200 and I have heard bad stuff about the AF performance and battery life of the a7ii but I plan to use a baterry grip and my nikon d5200 is pretty slow in AF and it doesn't affect me so if the a7ii is bether in that regard even slightly I am fine. I whant a FF camera for the bigger dynamic range and bether low light performance
