When is the god awful Parkway construction in Paramus going to be finished?

The Rt 17 on-ramp, all the way to the Rt 46 exit (157), is always backed up because of the tight lanes and non-dedicated entrance lanes. The construction has been going on for years and every time I drive by there is little to no progress. Congestion and traffic would easily be alleviated and my commute would be 10-20 minutes shorter during rush hour. Does anyone know when they will be done? Is there an article or PDF out there? I tried searching on Google and could not find anything. submitted by /u/Aggravating-Ant-2541 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hi all, I got into an accident with a truck and my car is a total loss. I was on the right lane and truck was on the left lane, on a two lane road. My car was little ahead of the truck and the truck driver tried to come on the right. It hit the left center side of my car and made my car swerve to the left, crashed on the median and then rolled back hitting the right curb. Luckily I didn’t get any injuries. However the truck driver claimed that the crash happened because I tried to come to the left. While I was waiting outside the cop said to me that the truck driver story makes more sense, sa ..read more

Looking for a temporary foster home for my dog in Central Jersey?

Hi All! I’ll cut straight to the chase with as little filler as possible. Looking for possible feedback or advice as well! I just moved back home with mom and my dog had to come with me. Before coming back here, I was living solo in a one bedroom apartment, just me and him, so I know this is a big adjustment for him as there’s also another dog here at my mothers as well and several new faces. As we all know rehoming for a dog can either go really well or really poorly and I’m getting the short end of the stick here with my boy as I also didn’t transition him well at all, which was incredi ..read more

PSA: Do not use Schweiger Dermatology Group for annual visits or preventative checkups

I chose this practice as an in-network provider for my annual skin screening (covered by my insurance), and everything suggested there wouldn't be any out-of-pocket costs. The exam lasted only a few minutes since nothing unusual was found. To my surprise, I got a bill two weeks later for $250: my insurance covered $150, leaving me with a $100 balance. When I called to inquire about it, they said the following: "Dermatology is not considered preventative medicine, but is instead a problem-oriented specialty. We therefore do not bill wellness, preventative, or annual visit codes." What a joke ..read more
