Dear all, life is moving fast and my ‘rewilding’ adventure in Wales is drawing to a close. I will no longer be continuing with this website and wanted to let you know. I will leave it up for another few weeks should anyone want to listen to podcasts, watch videos or read past blogs. Then it will vanish! I am embarking on a new adventure (possibly another ‘rewilding’ experience) abroad and I will almost certainly set up another platform in due course. So, if you would like to know when I do this please comment below or send me an email to fiona@rewildinginwales.com (the email will be de-activa ..read more

I am in the process of collating many of my past writings for a book I am planning to publish. The material is a heady mix of talks I gave 20 or so years ago when I was in the thick of business life, extracts from a diary I kept for during that period in London before the word blog was ever a twinkle in anyone’s eye, poems I wrote, some of the more recent ‘rewilding’ blog entries, transcripts of the ‘practical spirituality’ podcast series (you can listen to on this site) and more. Really, it’s a kaleidoscope of my developing awareness, personal insights and epiphanies about business and the wo ..read more

‘Time is speeding up’. This is how I have felt for as long as I can remember. Initially, I thought it was because of our growing connectivity through technology. Email had only just been invented when I started work, the internet was basic, most businesses didn’t have a web site, mobile phones were new and the few business people that had them needed a trolley to lug them around due to their size and weight. I was the proud owner of a fax machine which was a revolution at the time and the idea of social media wasn’t even a twinkle in anyone’s eye. But the revolution had started.   Fast fo ..read more

The world has been reduced to a new type of ‘ground zero’ and this brings uncertainty in almost everything, with one exception – a growing awareness that life will never be the same again. In our confinement, whilst we are adjusting to the curtailment of our civil liberties and the conflict with democracy this brings, the ‘pause button’ is prompting us to re-assess our values and lifestyles which, undoubtedly, will lead to a pruning of many things in the aftermath, both personally and at a wider level. No doubt, some businesses will disappear and probably some industries too but maybe this wi ..read more

Compassion in action

It’s extremely heartening to witness the ever increasing number of initiatives at grass roots level around the globe which demonstrate compassion in action. So many people are volunteering to help those who are self-isolated, the elderly, the vulnerable and the lonely. A palpable sense of community is emerging in communities where many didn’t even know their neighbour previously. A while ago, I recorded a podcast called ‘How to help others using the power of thought’.  I explained how we can help those in need (whether in fear, grief, shock or pain) from a distance, by sending a wave of compas ..read more

First of all, I am not going to refer to ‘it’ by it’s name as that feels like energising it, making it more powerful, giving it too much respect. I will call it ‘Big V’. Also, I am not going to add to what’s already been said, as that’s getting repetitive and, finally, I am not going to air my opinions. In fact, I would rather not talk about it at all but as it’s centre stage on the planet, it is the omnipresent conversation and cannot be avoided. So, I will do my best to offer something constructive. Surreal as it all is (life is certainly stranger than fiction) and as real as the suffering ..read more

I have spent much of my professional life building and, I guess, protecting my ‘Fiona Price’ persona, especially when my biggest and longest business (of 17 years) bore my name. So ‘we’ were one from a persona point of view, joined at the hip and it was certainly a mirror image of me in many ways. My spiritual awareness was also present but it was more compartmentalised then. Me and ‘it’. Now, it’s the other way around. The spiritual me and my personality are much more aligned and the latter feels less predominant. Of course, I am still idiosyncratically me but a toned down, quieter version w ..read more

Who am I?

I have recently been reviewing some note books from the 1990s which are packed full of insights, affirmations, mantras and wisdom I used to help me deal with the many challenges I faced during this fast moving period of my life, when I was immersed in business in London and sport, as well as trying to gain a wider sense of myself and the world around me. Initially, the trip down memory lane was research for a book I am putting together and also a podcast (or radio) series I am developing to examine similar processes used by other people at critical times in their lives. But perhaps it was als ..read more

The end?

The end of a decade is always significant and, invariably, a time of renewed optimism as a new decade dawns. But this time, it is different. Everywhere you look there’s chaos – politically, economically, socially, environmentally and every which way. One scandal follows another in the media exposing the dark side of life more than ever before and fake news is a modern means of destabilising societies. It’s difficult to see where we go from here and how we can turn things around. Not surprisingly, there is much despair; there is also a lot of vocal protest. Chaos breeds fear and fear perpetuat ..read more

The last 6 weeks have been my worst nightmare on the domestic front – having major work done in the house whilst I am still living in it, something I vowed never to do again after a 2 year renovation project 15 years ago, the discomfort of which has clearly vanished from my memory. In fairness, it wasn’t meant to take this long or be this messy but that’s part and parcel of renovating and rejuvinating an ancient property – you really don’t know what you are going to find until you start that will throw a spanner in the works resulting in extra time and mess, or what happy discoveries you might ..read more
