I said no to my player using the same character they already play in another campaign. AITA?

My player is a huge fan of The Last of Us, and they're playing Ellie (Rogue - Scout) in a DiA that we both play in. It's a really cool character, and they're a really good player. They want to copy paste the character into my campaign. I want them to come up with something new. Am I the asshole? submitted by /u/Tricks_of_All_Trades [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I saw a gif of a biblically accurate angel and instantly thought that it looked something someone would write into a Grimdark dnd world. So naturally I started writing a little one shot about a group of paladins and clerics landing in a normal 15th century earth to go kill an angel since it's horrifying. However the more I wrote the more fun I was having and the less jokes I wrote in making it a lot more serious, I added devils and then remembered the rapture was a thing. So now I have half of a campaign written out about a group of heavenly chosen warriors (the party) who are gifted powers f ..read more

If you could multiclass within the same class (ie, being a Berserker and Herald Barbarian), what would be the most powerful combos?

Ignore that you’d get the same feature again; just focus on the subclass features or the vibes ? submitted by /u/Killer-Of-Spades [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

So my DM is playing a setting in a world of a series I am VERY familiar with, unlike other party members. To support this I'm playing a Monk with the Sage Background and the Personality Trait "I've read every book in the world's greatest libraries – or I like to boast that I have." So using this combination I have kind of used my knowledge of the setting in my favor to flavor my character. So far we haven't run into any issues, as sometimes I ask the DM "Does x works like that here?" or I'll literally ask for a roll saying "How much do I know about this?". Most of the times is just religious ..read more
