Blake Corum is a little less than a year away from his turn in the NFL scouting combine. He could have been included this past year, but citing unfinished business, the elite running back inexplicably decided to return to Michigan football for yet another year.
While his running skills should have NFL teams salivating at his potential at the next level, Corum apparently has another attribute that should also make all 32 programs covet his unique capability.
The official Michigan football Twitter account posted a video on Monday of Corum participating in the bench press, surrounded by his teamm ..read more

James Ross played his collegiate ball at the University of Michigan from 2012-2015 where he was a four-year letterman and started 21 games at linebacker for the Wolverines.
Ross had a brief stint with the Chargers in the NFL, but could never quite catch on to the NFL game. But the former maize and blue linebacker had the itch to coach the college game and that’s precisely what he did. Jim Harbaugh brought Ross on as a graduate assistant where he helped coach from 2018-2020.
Hope College, a division III program, hired him in 2021 to coach its linebackers. After his lone season there, Cincinnati ..read more

Michigan football made headlines in the college football world for years by doing something teams just don’t do — at least not football programs. Jim Harbaugh took his team abroad, where they could learn all about different cultures while experiencing different things.
It started in 2017, when Harbaugh took the team to Rome, Italy. The team actually held practices there on top of sightseeing and learning. The following year, the team went to Paris, and South Africa the year after that. Then COVID hit in 2020, and the trips were put on hiatus. But with the world opening back up, the team got it ..read more

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — If you pay close attention to what Michigan football is putting out on social media during spring ball, you’ll notice a frequently featured face in many of the posts — and it’s not someone who made a big contribution last season.
Now wearing Ronnie Bell’s No. 8, second-year wide receiver Tyler Morris has an opportunity to take up his mantle, especially considering they feature similar skills, size, and athleticism. And the pictures that have made their way to social media from the program indicate that Morris is doing just that.
There are multiple shots of Morris making ..read more

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Jack Tuttle came from Indiana to Ann Arbor knowing that he won’t suddenly be crowned the starter. Instead, the sixth-year quarterback arrives at the third school of his career backing up former five-star and entrenched starter J.J. McCarthy.
He detailed why he came to Michigan football on Thursday, but just as important as his development — he may be called upon in crucial moments after all — is how well McCarthy is playing. So, what has he learned about McCarthy since he arrived on campus this winter?
His first impression of the third-year dynamo is that he doesn’t act ..read more

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — With Mazi Smith off to the NFL, the Michigan football defensive line will be anchored by senior defensive tackle Kris Jenkins. Jenkins came into his own this past year, but now his role will be even more pivotal without the man next to him who was often called ‘the tip of the spear.’
Thus far in the offseason, Jenkins’ preparation has paid off dividends, as he’s continuously garnered praise from his teammates. He’s bulked up to 300-pounds, despite his 6-foot-3 frame still appearing relatively svelte, with a goal of getting up to 310 by the time the season begins in Sept ..read more

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — If anyone has a good idea of what J.J. McCarthy is capable of it’s Michigan football wide receiver Tyler Morris.
Morris teammates with McCarthy through McCarthy’s junior year of high school at Nazareth Academy in Illinois, before the quarterback transferred to the illustrious IMG Academy in Florida. The connection they had in high school likely helped get Morris to Michigan, as McCarthy committed to the Wolverines before he transferred south.
McCarthy is still developing, with last year being his first as a starter at the college level. So, what has Morris seen from the ..read more

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Jack Tuttle didn’t have to go anywhere or do anything. After having completed his fifth year in college football as a backup, he could have joined the workforce — he already has an MBA in finance and a varied educational background, including supply chain management and business analytics. Yet, he wanted one more go-round.
So Tuttle sought out a third program to join, after having spent his first year at Utah and the past four at Indiana.
He wound up at Michigan, reuniting with former associate head coach Mike Hart, the current Wolverine running backs coach. The souther ..read more

Michigan football recruiting is heating up in a big, big way as of late. Not only did the Wolverines reel in the state of Ohio’s top running back, four-star Jordan Marshall, topping rival Ohio State, but they’ve gotten a four-star athlete in 2023 former Notre Dame signee Brandyn Hillman, as well as Ohio-native offensive tackle Ben Roebuck. And they’re trending for five-star quarterback Jadyn Davis, who announces next week.
Perhaps somewhat under the radar in terms of announcements, 2024 Lagrange (Ga.) Troup County four-star linebacker Qua Birdsong released his top five on Friday evening, and M ..read more
