The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS), the organization that controls the Emmy Awards, has announced that Peter Cullen "will be the Lifetime Achievement Honoree at the 2nd Annual Children’s & Family Emmy® Awards." The award will be given to him during the gala celebration being held on Sunday, December 17. Cullen's career is chock full of voicing characters that generations have now grew up on. Back in 2016, Transformers was up for a chance to be part of the annual inductees into the Toy Hall of Fame. The line fell short then but has another chance via the "Forgotten Five Finalists" where the chosen inductee is voted on by the public. Hard to believe that Transformers: Rise of the Beasts was released just a little over a month ago on June 9, 2023. Use to be you had to wait around six months to watch a movie at home with a home video release. Then another three to six months before it made its way to cable. Then usually a year after that before could see if for free on broadcast television cut up by commercials. The window over time got a little shorter but the order more or less stayed the same. During this weekend's San Diego ComicCon (SDCC), Paramount+ release the trailer for Transformers: Earthspark's second half of episodes from season 1. I complete forgot this series existed. Best I can tell the 26 episode first season has broken into three parts. The first part was episodes 1 through 10 release on November 10, 2022, the second part of episodes 11 through 17 were release on March 3, 2023 and now the remaining episodes of 18 to 26 will hit Paramount+ on July 28. It doesn't come cheap as the "Grimlock Robot Flagship G1 Collector's Edition" costs $1499.00 to pre-order for a late 2023 release.
