The Rangers and Caps played an entertaining hockey game that embodies what most fans would call “playoff hockey”. The Rangers needed two points to secure first place in the Metro division and two points they got, beating Ottawa at the Garden on Fan Appreciation night. The Rangers were home last night against the Philadelphia Flyers. Did they think the Flyers came to play video games? Sure looked it. As has happend all too often this season, the Rangers gave up the first goal early in the first, York (10) putting one past quick at just 04:21 in.
