On a cold night in New York, the Rangers faced off against the Wings in a closely contested hockey match. The Rangers pulled through with a 3-2 victory, a win that allowed them to maintain their streak of not losing consecutive games this season. The Rangers’ resilience was on full display for the Garden faithful as they overcame a barrage of blocked shots and missed attempts, ultimately capitalizing on a fortunate bounce that led to the tiebreaking goal. Detroit initially took the lead with two quick goals 23 seconds apart in the second period following Panarin’s early period goal. However ..read more

Sorry the delay, was on the road back to snow country. The Buffalo Sabres had a decisive victory over the Rangers at MSG, rebounding from the beatdown in NJ. Alex Tuch had two goals for the Sabres, the Sabres’ first regulation win over the Rangers since January 26, 2021. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen made 25 saves, including a remarkable diving stick save. Not much to say about the Rangers on this one. Shesterkin allowed four goals on 38 shots. The frustration was palpable as Shesterkin expressed his, ahem, disappointment at the game’s conclusion. There was also what looks like a significant knee inj ..read more

Buffalo has had a rough start to the season but are 4-4-2 in their last 10. They got smoked by the Devils 7-2 on Saturday and hope to catch the Rangers napping. The Rangers are coming off an enormous win over the Bruins on Saturday afternoon. Though they won in convincing fashion, the game was a bit pond hockey like and a throwback to games of the late 80s and early 90s. NYR should look to both get bac ..read more

NY Rangers (14-3-1) vs Boston Bruins (14-2-3) 25 Nov 2024 1:00 PM EST TV MSG, NESN The still 1st in the Metro and second in the NHL (.806) NY Rangers return home for an afternoon tilt against the league leading Boston Bruins (0.816). This will be an important test for the Rangers against an elite NHL team. The Rangers are coming off a 3-1 road win against the Filth yesterday afternoon. It was not their best effort but a win is a win. Taking penalties has been an on-going issue this season and they need to be a bit more careful with their sticks against the Bruins who have a 22.2% PP% vs Flyers ..read more

The win/point streak begins again! The Rangers secured a narrow 1-0 victory over the Penguins in a pre-turkey defensive showcase. Quick was impenetrable, stopping all 32 shots he faced from the Pens – marking his 60th career shutout, but only his first against Pittsburgh. The lone goal of the night came from Lafreniere, who found the net early in the first period. Jarry made 35 saves for the Pens, matching Quick’s performance but for the one goal given up. The game was not without controversy, as both teams had complaints about what passes for “fine” officiating in the NHL. Pittsburgh believe ..read more

The win streak is over. Panarin’s streak is over. Trocheck point streak at six games. Kakko scored by having stick in right place at right time near the net. Mika Zibanejad said. “This one’s tough and hard to analyze right after, honestly. It’ll be easier to have an answer after we get a chance to watch it.” Eat light buddy. If you missed the game live, you really owe it to yourself not to watch the tape. What started well in the first began to fall apart in the second with neutral zone turnovers. The third was more of the same with the Stars stepping on the gas. Igor at times did not look goo ..read more

The Ranger feed will be on MSGSN (aka MSG+) as the Bricks pregame is on MSG, but not the actual game. Crazy. Shesterkin should be in net again tonight and the rest of the lineup is expected to be the same. Harley is a game time decision for Dallas.
