The Instant Pot Duo Plus v4 was released over a year ago, but it's still not available in Australia - only the v3 is available. (see https://instantbrands.com.au/products/instant-pot-duo-plus-multi-cooker-57l-112-0184-01-au).
Any idea if/when the v4 will be available in Australia?

Hey everyone, I’ve had my instant pot for probably 3 years now. I just started noticing that when it’s heating up, there is this distinct chemical smell that comes from it. My gut says it has something to do with the new sealing ring I bought about a month ago from the instant pot company, but I don’t know. Has anyone else experienced this?

I soak my kidney beans for 10 to 12 hours and then pressure cook for 5 minutes and slow release.
They turn to mush - what am I doing wrong?

8 year old 6-quart instant pot duo. Never noticed this until recently, and it only happens on certain dishes.
What happens: It gets up to pressure no problem, then once it is at pressure, it starts slowly leaking steam from the whistle. I have to fiddle with it a lot to get it to stop, and I lose a ton of steam in the process. Yes, it is in the seal position.
Which dishes it happens on: Example: this ALWAYS happens when I make pearl barley (1/2 cup barley + 1 cup water, pressure cook high for 22 minutes). It does NOT happen when I make dal (1 cup lentils + vegetables + 2 cups water, pressure ..read more

Just picked up a Brand New in Box Duo 60 V3 6 quart Instant Pot for $40. Was this a good deal in your opinion? Also how does the Duo 60 V3 compete with present models? Is it still just as good? Thanks for your thoughts and opinions in advance.

I just bought Instant Pot Rio, and I tried to cook rice, beef, some veggie, egg. I followed this, but I got my rice burn at the bottom of the pot twice. First, I tried pressure cook setting for 10 mn without oil and less water. Second, I tried with rice setting with more water without oil. It still burn regardless. What did I do wrong? I did not preheat it when I put the pot in.
