How do you plug in electric at your RV site? How do you connect your RV to water? What about connecting your RV to sewer? Let’s run through that.
The first time we arrived at an RV site on our very first outing with an RV (EVER) we did so in the dark. Not very smart, huh? We knew nothing. We had spent months rebuilding our first Airstream only to arrive at the RV pad with zero knowledge of how everything hooks up. I somehow worked my way through it in the dark with the help of some friendly neighbors. Now, I’m proud to say can do it blindfolded. We’ve traveled to dozens of RV parks ac ..read more

Looking to replace an existing RV sofa or in the process of designing an RV and need a sofa solution? We recently partnered up with Albany Park to put their Kova modular unit to the test. Is it comfortable? Check. Does it come in amazing colors? Check. Is it easy to maneuver into the Airstream? Check. Is it expandable into a full unit if you want to move it into a house one day? Big ol’ check.
configurations
The Kova is sold both by the piece as well as in thirteen (yes, thirteen!) different configurations to fit any space. Whether you’re looking for a simple mini set-up for an RV or a ..read more

All in the span of two days, we went from 80s and sunny in south Florida to wintertime at the top of Snowshoe Mountain West Virginia with panoramic views of the smoky blue Appalachians. Lucky for us, we were invited back to the beautiful state of West Virginia by the folks at the West Virginia Department of Tourism for a little winter getaway. What do you do when you encounter noisy or rude neighbors in a campground? Well, we just had our first run-in. After traveling to dozens of campgrounds, dozens of states and meeting loads of great people along the way, we finally had some campgrounds neighbors that were…what’s the nice word here? Duds? Yeah, we’ll call them “duds.” We’ve had neighbors here and there that don’t respect boundaries or other people’s ears. Neighbors that let their kids ride their bikes through your yard inches past your blind dog. Neighbors that blast music into the night or only speak with their volume stuck i ..read more

kinda rv friendly
There are campgrounds within the park but most roads don't allow oversized vehicles. Check the restrictions here before you head in.
dog friendly
Dogs are allowed on more than 100 miles of trails in Acadia! The only exceptions are the more advanced trails with steep drop-offs and ladders.
what to bring
There's a small town right outside of the park if you need supplies or want to grab lunch before heading in. We packed the usual: water and snack bars.

An RV can definitely make the drive along the Redwood Highway, however, parking and campgrounds are pretty limited.
kinda dog friendly
Dogs are allowed on some trails in Redwood National Park.
what to bring
Pack plenty of water and snacks. Food is sparse. And make sure you have plenty of gas as gas stations are also sparse in some areas.
