I booked Fedex Intl Priority to India. and shipped the envelope on 4/19 with promised delivery of 4/22. The envelope got to Dubai fast and is then taking it slow---it has been there for 48 hours. I called Fedex and they said "weather"---yes, there's been flooding in Dubai but that was a week ago and can't they reroute their shipments to avoid DXB? She said the new estimated date was 4/29, an extra 7 days. For me that is a total disaster. Hi so my package has been chilling for over a month and I just came up with a really good idea. Im going to move to Memphis and get hired at the FedEx hub there where my package is. This is domestic and there’s really no updates since 04/12. On 04/16 there pops up a Shipment Exception: Weather Delay warning. But there’s really no weather condition as far as I know and also, there’s no actual scan location as well. Ordered a gift for my wife, then realized that according to FedEx's scheduled date, the package would arrive while I was at work and ruin the surprise. So I hit "Hold At Location" to send it to my local FedEx store. Easy, right? At this point my package had traveled from NYC to Memphis, with its final destination being the West Coast. My hold request was received.
