I have a latitude 7490, i5 that I bought for around 200 used. I’m looking to upgrade parts as I’d rather spend money on upgrading things than buying a whole new laptop and getting rid of my current one. My cpu goes up to 90-100% from having one tab, watching YouTube. The fan goes crazy and its embarassing in class. My Laptop had some Minor Water Damage, meaning it still worked, the Dsiplay wasn't looking good however. Now I know that you should check all of the Hardware because it can damage it over time. But 560€ + 40€ Transport for a 1000€ Laptop is too much. Even worse I just got a Email 10 days after payment saying I didn't yet confirm the repair. I need it for my work and don't have it for 3 weeks now. I will probably not have it back for another week minimum. Firstly, the laptop doesn't turn on. No display, no fans, no lights on any buttons. When plugged into the power adapter the power button light would stay white but still no life from the laptop. I removed the battery and held down the power button for over 20 seconds and reinstalled it. Now the power button and the power indicator on the bottom right are on without having to plug the power adapter in. I'm kind of at a loss now on what the issue might be. So, I just ordered the G3223Q monitor from Dell last Tuesday. It arrived last Thursday, but it had 5 stuck pixels on arrival. I contacted support and after a lot of back and forth, they finally agreed to replace it. The replacement arrive today, and behold, 3 more stuck pixels. This time directly in the center of the screen. After looking this monitor up here on Reddit, it seems to be a pretty common issue with this particular one.
