MK Lightning, is thrilled to announce the signing of Toms Rutkis for his first season with the club. The  forward joins Lightning after an impressive performance with the Dundee Stars in the Elite League last season. In the 2022/23 season, Toms Rutkis played 52 games for Dundee, tallying 3 goals and 4 assists, amounting to a total of 7 points.  Having started his junior career in Swindon, Toms Rutkis progressed to play for the Cardiff Devils before finding his place with the Dundee Stars. Sean Norris, played over 80 games in an MKL jersey.  Last season he played 45 games, and had a knack for creating scoring opportunities. With 27 goals and an impressive 49 assists, Sean’s 76 points were important for the team.  Sean also made a great impact in the Elite league last year playing for the Belfast Giants and being selected for the GB squad.  We wish him every success in the next step in his hockey journey. We are delighted to share with you the re-signing of Lewis Christie for his 13th season with the club. During last season, Lewy played 47 games, scoring 4 goals and providing 14 assists, achieving a total of 18 points. MK Lightning is thrilled to announce the signing of Ben Brown for the upcoming 2023/24 season.  The 19 year old forward will bring his talent to the team after playing for Dundee Comets and Dundee Stars last season. This is big.  We’re so happy to bring you the news that Ross Venus has signed for the upcoming 2023/24 season. The 29-year-old forward joins us from Coventry Blaze, where he spent the 2022/23 season, scoring 9 goals and 23 assists. In a double bit of good news, we are delighted to confirm, as announced at the End of Season Awards night, that Joe Wilson will return to MKL as Assistant Coach in a two year deal, and that he will also be one of the coaches at the EIHA’s Showcase tournament this weekend.
