Hello lovely people, we are back with another video, this time we are in Cornwall at Madron’s Well. This is such a fabulous, sacred, and beautiful place. Some people may find the clooties that adorn the trees uncomfortable, but for us, they felt right and sacred. So many emotions come together in the space, quiet prayers for the departed, the lost, and the unwell, the need for connection and healing w ..read more

Blessed Līþa!
Damh the Bard

As we approach the Summer Solstice here in the Northern Hemisphere I’ve seen social media posts beginning to appear opposing the name Litha for the Pagan festival. It happens at the Autumn Equinox too when people start to wish each other Happy Mabon. The Mabon name is a different discussion to the name Litha for the Solstice though – there is at least an old historical precedence. I like Litha as a name for the Summer Solstice/Midsummer. It stems from Bede who wrote that the Old English called June Ærra Līþa, before Midsummer, and July Æftera Līþa, after Midsummer. The þ letter is pronounced ..read more

Greetings my friends! Here is the video of House Concert 49 streamed live on Facebook and YouTube on Saturday 27th April. Another fabulous evening – this one was a celebration of Beltane and Spring. The internet connection had some issues for a couple of songs but then I realised that DropBox was backing up a huge file and when I turned that off things settled down. Also, this was broadcast from my new iMac and I was confused by the huge thumbs-up images that kept appearing – I later found out that it was a ‘feature’ of the latest MacOS that was turned on by default. It kept thinking I was giv ..read more
