Congratulations to 8-year-old Henry Atkinson, who finished 7th in his age category (7-8-years) at the World Junior Championships in San Diego earlier this month. Some of you might know that on 5 August I hopped a fence at Dibden Golf Centre, rushing to my car near the chipping green. Unfortunately, the fence panel snapped, I fell to the floor and had to go to A&E - where they’d confirmed I’d fractured my left foot. I was put in a boot which wasn’t ideal but meant I could still get around and deliver lessons. A few weeks later, I was called in for a CT scan to see how it was healing but unfortunately it wasn’t quite healing correctly, with a risk that it could cause long-term damage and arthritis. I’m really pleased to announce that I am now available for lessons at the recently refurbished Hamptworth Golf and Country Club. It's a fantastic golf club with great facilities and a vision to provide a warm welcome to all golfers. It’s recently benefitted from a £2 million refurbishment to the clubhouse and the golf course is currently undergoing a major refurbishment programme which will include a complete redesign of some holes and a long-term goal of hosting a PGA Tournament in the next five years.
