I had been recommended to this family by another client I had recently done a photo shoot for. This newborn baby was just over two weeks old when I came to do the photo shoot. We started the session with a couple of basket shots. The simplicity of photos against a plain black background is always striking. We moved to a bedroom to get some photos of this baby boy on the bed, including one with a fox outfit the parents had got. Then it was time to get some photos with mummy and daddy. Let's end with some cute feet! Newborn Baby & Family Photographer - Sutton, South London, SM6 ..read more

Three Week Old Baby Girl Photo Shoot- Tooting
Balham Bumps & Babies

Many clients ask me when the best time to photograph newborn babies generally is and I usually reply "within the first two weeks when babies are generally more sleepy". This newborn baby girl was already over three weeks old when I came to do her photo shoot. I would certainly usually try to avoid this time, as babies are often more awake and alert, as a result they can be more settled. But, every baby is different and this baby girl was amazing! As she was already three weeks old I decided straight away that we would go with swaddles, as this would hopefully keep her calm even if she was to ..read more

We began this newborn baby photo shoot with some more posed photos of this little girl, as the parents loved the basket and bucket baby photos they had seen on my website. We also captured a few close up details and also a photo in the hands of mummy and daddy. We then moved onto some more studio-style portrait family photos. Seven Week Old Baby Photo Shoot - Clapham South
Balham Bumps & Babies

This baby boy was just coming up to seven weeks old when I came to their family home for his photography session. He was the most settled baby on the day, but nonetheless we calmly worked with him and captured some beautiful natural photo. Having started on the bed, where we captured a couple of close up details, it wasn't long before we could see that he wasn't settling happily lying on a bed, so I set up my black background for some photos where he could be cuddled by mummy and daddy. He remained calm for some photos by himself. We then captured some natural photos with baby on the bed to ..read more

Two Week Old Newborn Baby Photo Shoot - Streatham Hill

This two week old baby was absolutely not going to sleep during this photo shoot! However, he was a chilled out little boy and with a relaxed photo shoot we were still able to get the shots that we planned and it is lovely to be able to get photos with his eyes open. Sometimes you can even capture them as they close their eyes for a moment and in that captured moment it seems as though they are asleep! We began the session with him swaddled up in a basket before moving to a bedroom to capture him in the above image as well as a variety of more natural newborn photos. Having taken a variety of ..read more

Fresh, Natural Tones for Newborn Photo Shoot - Putney

The mother of this adorable newborn baby bundle was keen to get beautiful, clean, fresh, natural photos of her baby boy. The use of natural tones together with simple textures of the wool blankets and clothes worked really well. We focussed on getting a variety of baby photos on a bed, together with some close up shots of little feet. We also captured plenty of photos with mummy and daddy... and granny too! We finished with some striking family photos against a black backdrop. Newborn Baby & Family Photographer - Putney, South West London, SW15 ..read more

Month Old Baby Photo Shoot - North West London
Balham Bumps & Babies

This baby boy was a month old when I came to do his photo shoot. His parents wanted very natural photos at their home in north west London. We began in a bedroom capturing family photos as mummy and daddy played with their little boy. OK - so we had one very excited dog being allowed on the bed! And time to also focus on getting some photos of this very awake baby boy. A change of outfit and a more classic family portrait. But a photo shoot is tiring for a month old baby, so finally a sleeping baby! Baby & Family Photographer - North West London, NW10 ..read more

This newborn baby girl was two weeks old when I came to do her photo shoot at their family home in Streatham. We began with a few of the more posed shots with this baby girl in a basket to start. With her being a little unsettled we then worked on some natural family photos, so she could settle whilst being cuddled. Having calmed we then got her to sleep on a bed. This also gave us more time to get photos with mummy and daddy. The family also wanted some photos against a black background, which makes for some beautifully, dramatic images. We ended on some very natural photos. Newborn Ba ..read more

Newborn Baby Photo Shoot At Home - Streatham

This newborn baby was just over two weeks old by the time I came to do his photo shoot. There is no doubt that he was more alert during the session and as a result some of the set ups took up a little more time, but we still managed to get lots of beautiful photos in the style that his mummy had been hoping to get. The first of these, is the above image. she had bought a little, newborn bunny outfit for him that she wanted to get a photo of him in. She had sent me an image of the outfit before the session and I felt that the natural, outdoor digital would work really well with this. She had a ..read more
