Earlier this month, the National Hockey League's Pittsburgh Penguins had to postpone one of their promotions, a giveaway of bobblehead statues commemorating Jaromir Jagr's standout career with the team. Eastbound Blue Water Bridge to close for maintenance as of May 29

Beginning May 29, the Michigan Department of Transportation will close the eastbound span of the Blue Water Bridge to complete maintenance. The bridge connects Port Huron, Michigan to Point Edward, Ontario, Canada. To reduce impacts on traffic, both directions of BWB traffic will be carried on the westbound span, according to a statement from MFDOT. Viorel Pricop,A Michigan man was found guilty by a jury today of maliciously setting fires to six semi-trailers belonging to a major commercial trucking company in the Inland Empire and High Desert during a 10-month span. Viorel Pricop, 66, of Allen Park, Michigan, was found guilty of six counts of arson of vehicle or property in interstate commerce. Pricop has been in federal custody since October 2022, and has been linked to a total of 25 trailer fires across the country. Westbound portion of closed I-195 bridge in Rhode Island to be replaced

A portion of a key bridge carrying Interstate 195 over the Seekonk River in Providence, Rhode Island closed since late December will have to be completely rebuilt. It's expected the project to replace the westbound lanes of the Washington Bridge will take until sometime in 2026. The westbound lanes of the bridge built in 1968 were closed Dec. 11 when an inspection found "a critical failure in some bridge components." Truck maker PACCAR recently recalled more than 116,000 Peterbilt and Kenworth trucks because of a problem with he gear shift.
