Introducing Miss Ada – aka unicorn baby. I always allow up to 4hrs for my newborn photoshoots as there is generally lots of feeding & settling needed during the session. However, every now & then I get what I call a unicorn baby & the beautiful Ada is one of those. A unicorn baby arrives asleep & just doesn’t really wake up for the whole session & goes home asleep. I had the absolute pleasure of welcoming the beautiful baby Rose into the studio over the Coronation weekend and what an absolute poppet she was! At just 14 days new Rose absolutely smashed her newborn session, only waking for her feed halfway through. If I’m honest I think she was faking sleep at times as she’d slightly open an eye, see that the ‘annoying lady who kept moving her‘ was still there, and close her eyes again. I had the pleasure of meeting the beautiful Azaliyah-Reign today whose name means eternal princess and there couldn’t have been a more fitting name for this little lady. Azaliyah-Reign came to see me at almost 6wks which is a little older than most of my newborn photoshoots but she gave us a wonderful mixture of asleep and awake poses. I love seeing babies come back into the studio for their milestone sessions and today was one of those days when I got to welcome the gorgeous Jacob into the studio to celebrate his upcoming first birthday. I first met Jacob last May when he was just a tiny baby and had the privilege of capturing his newborn portraits. I then saw him again at Christmas when he wasn’t quite sitting up completely by himself for his first Christmas Mini session. Today I had the pleasure of welcoming Robin into the studio to celebrate his first birthday. Not only is that a very important milestone but he came to see me on his actual birthday, which made the session extra special. Little Robin had us in complete stitches during the session as he carefully picked up little bits of cake to eat – so delicately. In fact Daddy even tried breaking off a bigger piece to give it to him, Robin took it and then proceeded to break smaller pieces off! I recently had the pleasure of welcoming back one of my clients with their new addition to their family – baby Aya. I first met Aya’s family almost 3yrs ago when their son was born, so it was lovely to welcome them all back and get to see how big brother Ari has grown up. The name Aya means wonderful and she truly was that. I recently had the pleasure of welcoming the beautiful baby Dolly Mae into the studio for her newborn baby photos. Dolly Mae brought with her her big brother who is clearly smitten already and such a help to his Mum – he was even so helpful in the studio that I nearly offered him a job. Little Dolly Mae was a week old when she came to see me and was a total pro at modelling. Baby Freddie came to see me at just over 3wks new for his newborn photoshoot. He was in a rush to meet his lovely parents and arrived almost a month early! Thanks to the glorious hot weather we have been having he was incredibly sleepy and was all done in just over 2hrs. What a super star! I recently ran a competition to win a Digital Baby Portrait and this weekend little Indie came to claim her prize. The last time I saw Indie was before Christmas when she wasn’t quite sitting up by herself. Now at 14mths she is sitting beautifully and a cheeky little one to go with it. Indie’s Mummy asked for a pumpkin themed portrait and isn’t she just an absolute picture in this Digital Portrait that I created for her. I had the pleasure of meeting little baby Arlo recently for his newborn baby photos. At just 8 days new he was surprisingly alert and very curious about everything going on around him. He also brought with him his delightfully crazy big sister Lottie who had us in stitches during her photos. It’s always a treat for me when clients trust me to create something beautiful for them as I get to play with different ideas.
