The ever-popular annual Apico 2-Stroke Festival has sealed a deal with the newly-renamed Fastest-40 Championship, previously known as the MX Nationals, to include and enhance the official ACU Apico 2-Stroke Festival British 125cc 2-Stroke Championship. The 125cc 2-Stroke class has been a passion of the Apico 2-Stroke Festival organiser Dave Willet, a former 125cc 2-Stroke British Champion and avid campaigner, for the ‘almost-forgotten’ MX two-stroke category. In a word everything. The MX Nationals is changing. Here’s the headlines for 24′ There will be 3 classes on Saturday. 125cc EMX MX2 – Pro MX1 – Pro Each rider will have 15-minute free practice followed by 20-minute timed practice (40+2 reserves to Qualify) and 2 races. There will be 5 classes on Sunday. Clubmen MX2 ACU British Championship Clubmen MX1 ACU British Championship Amateur MX2 Amateur MX1 TBA Each rider will have 12 mins practice/timed training. and 3 races. The MX Nationals team regrets announcing that the final round of the 2023 championship will be round five at Hawkstone Park on September 2nd and 3rd. Originally planned as a six-round championship, unforeseen challenges arising from the persistent British weather, the closure of secure tracks mid-season, and a heavily packed MX calendar during September and October have necessitated calling the championship to an end at round five.  As a result, the upcoming round five at Hawkstone Park on September 2nd & 3rd will now serve as the final round of the 2023 Championship.  ..read more
