Brookethorpe – Date: 06-07/07/24 By Dick Law. While the changeable English weather had a major effect on round four of the Motul Fastest 40, powered by Michelin, the small but dedicated band of workers soldiered tirelessly on and made the event happen while other organisers cancelled their meetings.   It had been raining on and off since Thursday at the location of the event at Brookthorpe in Gloucestershire, but it looked as if it would be usable on Friday. With low entries in this class I thought it would be worth clarifying what level of rider this class is aimed at. If you ride in the ACU British Championship or in the Fastest 40 Pro class – Its not you. If you ride in the Clubmen class – Its not you. If you are somewhere between the two – this is your class. If you are bit faster than the clubmen or you ride as an Expert or A group rider or whatever your local club calls it. This is your group. April 20th/21st After Mother Nature postponed the opening meeting, round one of the Motul Fastest 40, powered by Michelin series took place last weekend at the iconic and historic Foxhill Moto Parc in Wiltshire. The tack has been used for many Motocross GPs, and spectacular hills and massive jumps entertained both riders and spectators. New for this year is a switch of the Pro races from the traditional Sunday to the more accessible Saturday. The ever-popular annual Apico 2-Stroke Festival has sealed a deal with the newly-renamed Fastest-40 Championship, previously known as the MX Nationals, to include and enhance the official ACU Apico 2-Stroke Festival British 125cc 2-Stroke Championship.
