Webex - last active indication

My company uses the Webex messenger/meeting application (i think it may be called Webex Teams). Just wondering how it determines the "last active time" shown below whoever I have listed (in Favorites ?). For example, it may show Johnson, Bob Active 35 minutes ago Does it monitor the users keyboard & mouse activity to determine that ? Curious as we're all salaried, 8 to 5 ers here, and some of my coworkers are "not active" for as much as 4 hours a day. Maybe I'm working too hard. submitted by /u/checksum0 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

VPN - Geo-Location Based Traffic Management

Hi guys, My company has branches in 3 locations (the US, China, and Canada). I want to create a FULL-TUNNEL VPN for users who connect from coffee shops, airports, and hotels. I will do it using the Cisco profile editor and call it a UNSECURED VPN profile. My question is: Instead of creating 3 profiles for the US, Canada, and China, is there a way to redirect the user to the correct VPN profile depending on where the user connects? For example, the user is connecting from China > connect to the China FULL-Tunnel VPN My Devices: Cisco FMC / Cisco FTDs Thanks, folks submitted by /u/Existing ..read more

Is SSE the new thing, does it replace an AV? For context I am doing a project for a small business of 4 employees who mainly use documents, emails and have around 1TB of data. ( they also work remotely for around 5 months a year) Would you reccomend looking for an SSE solution or just stick with an antivirus Budget is not an issue submitted by /u/Fantastic_Set8169 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hardening Secure Client guide for VPN question

Reviewing this hardening guide Implement Hardening Measures for Secure Client AnyConnect VPN - Cisco It asks you to modify the "DefaultWEBVPNGroup" group. Does any of this really matter if that default group does not have an assigned address pool? Wouldn't pull an IP over VPN even if it was compromised. In order to change the AAA to authenticate cert only we would have to then assign an address pool which seems counter intuitive. submitted by /u/plump-lamp [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Scenario: I have a small air gapped network consisting of just switches that is currently in one building, but our team and users are moving into a new building. Current infrastructure will be remaining in the old building datacenter. In the new building will be just switches as well. I'm being told there will be two connections available for us from the equipment in the old building to the new building. So basically I will have a switch connecting everything in the new building that connects to another switch in the old building that's tied into everything else. Can I and should I load balan ..read more

Is it possible to use a RJ45 console cable on a switch that only has a mini-usb port. I have looked around the whole switch and can not find a RJ45 console port. If i can only use a mini-usb port can i go buy any junk usb to mini-usb cable or does it need to be a specific one. Thanks for the response, first post here. submitted by /u/Spaceboy62 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hi guys/girls, I'm currently "planning" my network on my new apartment. I have laying arround 2 cisco 2800i running mobility express. In my old house i've got some TpLink Deco S4 mesh (very satisfied with them) and now i'm thinking if it is worth it to put in my new apartment the Cisco's. For the love of god i cannot understand if the cisco is better than my Tplinks (at least i love the mesh on the Tplink :) ) Someone with experience ? similar or related that could advise me ? :) Thanks in advance ! submitted by /u/New_Sir_2457 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

CUCM SIP Min-SE Value

my SIP Min-SE value is currently set up as 3600 where the default is 1800. One of my distant peers is saying that they are getting a message back stating that I'm requiring 3600. If I update the value back to the default 1800, is anything going to restart or drop? I don't want to cause any service interruptions. submitted by /u/Savva135 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

hi. I have this thing in relaly good condition and to me it looks like a switch with 100 Mbit ports. I'd like to salvage it for rescuing the LED lights and the enclosure, but I don't know if this is an useful object, as I don't really know what it does. I see that inside there's a big ol stick of ddr or ddr2 submitted by /u/TheHooligan95 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Cisco Switch Web UI with HTTPS (lock icon)?

Hello, has anyone successfully implemented HTTPS on their switch web management UI? I would like to get rid of the warning when I access the web UI, but I cannot seem to find resources about it online. I am currently using a Catalyst 9300 in my network, connected to a 2900 series router in my current testing environment. After testing, the switch will be connected to a Fortinet firewall instead of the router. I would like to avoid third-party CAs, and my network does not have an internal CA. If what I have in mind is simply impossible, I am also open to any other suggestions. If there are any ..read more
