We’re back with another round up of a community LEGO event in the UK, this time in County Durham in the North East of England. Held at Locomotion Museum in the town of Shildon, we headed to Shildon Brick Show 2023 for two days of LEGO fun!
Shildon Brick Show is organised by Brick Alley LEGO User Group, and has been running since 2016. With other 100 exhibitors, volunteers and traders, the show has grown to be a fan favourite in North East England.

Bricklincs was back with a two day event for Lincolnshire LEGO fans this this year in the county city of Lincoln.
Held at the Christ Church Hospital School on Wragby Road on 9th and 10th September 2023, Brick Lincs raised money for both Fairy Bricks and local charities. The event is the longest running LEGO fan event in Lincolnshire and draws exhibitors from across the country (we hear there’s a lot of home-baked cakes available for the exhibitors!).

The 15th and 16th July 2023 saw the Brick Féile LEGO fan event back in Dublin at the CityNorth Hotel for a weekend of LEGO fun for all ages.
Hosted by Brick.ie, the Irish LEGO User Group, in aid of the Fairy Bricks charity who donate LEGO sets to children in hospitals around the world, Brick Féile saw its third year in 2023, after an inevitable break for Covid.

Our workshops with LEGO bricks are back at Shugborough Hall in Staffordshire, West Midlands, for the summer of 2023.
This brilliant National Trust property is situated in beautiful grounds and will be home to a raft of summer activities, include Bricks McGee workshops.

Bressingham Bricks was in its fourth year this July, and it was finally a chance for the Bricks McGee team to visit this LEGO fan event in North Norfolk.
Set in the beautiful grounds of Bressingham Steam & Gardens attraction near the town of Diss in Norfolk, Bressingham Bricks adds LEGO fan exhibits to an already packed day out for the family! The attraction has some 5 miles of railway tracks to ride in various gauges, with traction engines and other mechanical delights to see, plus their famous “gallopers” – a beautiful Victorian steam powered carousel restored to its former glory. Another weekend, another LEGO fan event in the UK! This time we headed north to Discovery Brick Show in Newcastle upon Tyne for a weekend of model displays and activities for the public.
Hosted by Brick Alley LEGO User Group in the North East of England, Discovery Brick Show is hosted in the stunning old Cooperative Society offices in Newcastle city centre, which is now home to Discovery Museum. The museum is home to many exhibits including a brilliant history of Newcastle, as well as the hard-to-miss Turbinia – once the fastest ship on the world!
