Never has running through the streets of Swindon at 4am with heavy cameras been so exhilarating! Writer Steve Boggan and I pulled an all-nighter (and some) with Wiltshire Police for this feature focussed on the challenges facing modern policing. It was an eye opening experience and a fantastic read from Steve. The overt hostility (from the public), the paperwork and the under-resourcing appeared extremely difficult and demanding for the officers we spent time with.
