Summer may have deserted us but just before you pack away your floaty dresses and linen pants let me help you transition them into autumn/winter. We all have a couple of items we were saving for that BBQ ( which never happened ) for me it was this stunning  Crochet Set from Mango . I had been eying it up for a couple of weeks and finally purchased it in time for an outdoor event, which then got cancelled due to the rain ?   I refuse to pack it away just yet so thought it would be fun to come up with a few ideas of how to transition your favourite summer items through into autumn ..read more

I have been using the Nu Skin LumiSpa for over 2 years and It’s been a total game-changer in my daily skincare routine! Since the age of 12, I have suffered from cystic acne and used every lotion, potion and even medication to help combat it with very little success. Then my neighbour at the time suggested I borrow her LumiSpa and within 3 days I had begun to see results. My skin was brighter, my acne had started to reduce and overall the texture of my skin was smoother. Now in my 40’s I have the best skin i have ever had !! How The LumiSpa Works The LumiSpa’s gentle yet effective cleansing ac ..read more

100 Days Alcohol Free – What i have learnt
The UnNatural Mother | Award Winning Lifestyle & Parenting Blog

2 days ago I hit a milestone – 100 days alcohol-free. I don’t like the word ‘sober’ as it’s a sad-sounding word ( sober: serious, sensible, and solemn ) and my alcohol-free life has been anything but sad. The common misconceptions when you say you don’t drink alcohol are that you are pregnant, an alcoholic or just plain boring. All of which I am not. There is no juicy story of me waking up one morning in a trash bin after 10 too many tequilas vowing to turn my life around, but I will admit that my relationship with rosé wine had become a little too close in the months following my Dad’s death ..read more

My Dads Dead – A Life Update

It has been 12 months since I wrote my last blog, the reason is in the title.  I have tried to write several, but the 1st line of any blog ( fashion, travel, food ) is always ‘My Dad’s Dead’. I felt that maybe it was time I wrote and published the words, to cure my writer’s block. Greif can be a funny fucker and keeps showing up at the most inconvenient times, doing the ASDA shop, watching a school play,  walking past my Dad’s favourite pork pie shop. I am not the 1st and will not be the last to lose a parent and I thank my lucky stars I had my Dad for 40 years. In the words of the Q ..read more

Why Hello 40 !! I feel like my 40s are an invite to a VIP party. Gone are the days of nappies and children attached to me by the hip. My 40s will be about building back my life and having fun. I don’t regret one day of Motherhood but Jesus it can be soul-destroying at times.   My 30th Birthday was spent sober and pregnant. No big party, just a small meal out to which I had to leave early due to being morning sickness ( that lasted all day ). My 40th on the other hand has turned into a year-long celebration. Several fancy meals already attended, more booked over the next few months and&nbs ..read more

2022 The Year Of Travel

I think when I say this I am pretty much speaking for most of the world. ” Get me on Holiday ” !!! Before kids ( with the help of my travel industry discount ) I thought nothing of hopping over to America or booking a 4-day stay in Dubai. Even when the kids caused us extra baggage we would book a last-minute holiday and enjoy a week away in Turkey or Tenerife. Then ‘you know what’  happened and Blackpool was our Barbados for 18 months. So, this year I am determined to make up for it and dust off my passport for a few much-needed trips. Skiing  I have always wanted to go on a girls sk ..read more
