Back when Russel finished the bodywork we needed to find someone to paint the van. We were getting quotes from paint shops of £10,000 and that was just to much for a van that is going to be driven and dragged along branches and all kinds of other things on the dirt roads, byways etc that we love to take. Besides this van is going to be built for travel and 10k can buy a lot of diesel!
After establishing some test spots and working out a method, we are quite sure at this point that we will be roller painting the van to make it super durable and easy to maintain and repair and not have us gettin ..read more

Did you know that we personally make in house the Westfalia decal sets we sell?
Thats right we make these with love for your Westfalia Joker, Club Joker, Top Joker, Sport Joker, VW LT Florida as well as VW Syncro models and much more. We don’t just get some local matey boy down the road who has a sticker shop to print these sets onto clear viynal for cheap so we can crank these out without any effort, we make these in the traditional way just like Westfalia did back in the day from quality materials. This is why you are not limited to stick our sets on white vans only but on all factory colour ..read more

Most long term van owners know the feeling, you get in the van, and you have damp carpets in the front after it has been parked up, or worse still you are driving in heavy rain and you can feel it dripping onto your foot! Yep, the those little rust bubbles under the windscreen seal are worse than you thought – time for the window to come out.
Rubber shrinks and hardens over time, most of our vans our at least 20 years old now, that is a fair old while sitting in sun wind and rain. Removing and replacing the window is actually easier than you’d think – although you have to be careful that ..read more

Have you been looking at purchasing a set of our sweet rock sliders? Nice aren’t they?
We do two styles, the original curved style and the straight impact style. Both are fitted exactly the same and both can revive a side ladder option if required. Both options and the ladder add on accessory can be seen below., for now though let’s jump right into how to install these.
These Sill Protectors / Rock sliders are built of tough stuff. They’re crafted from heavy gauge tubing so that they can really take a beating from anything that might be trying to cause some damage to the sills of your van, whe ..read more

This quality product was born after an influx of enquires from customers wanting to fit roof bars to their camper vans that had lift up roofs. Most of these enquires were from VW T4 and T5/T6 owners as well as some customers with Mercedes Vito style roofs. We already have a nice system for VW T2/T25/T3 Westfalia vans but we set to work to find a nice solution for everyone else who owns a pop top lifting roof.
Option 1 – This option is for vans with rail slots already in the roof (VW T6 California for example).
You get,
1 x pair of slotted roof bars
1 x pair of roof bar end caps
4 x stainless s ..read more

The decision was made to fly over the Atlantic once more only this time to attend the DELA Syncro event in BC Canada. There was no real plan to this trip and it was just a case of seeing what happened once I got off the aeroplane. The one thing I did know was that Nathan the owner of Vivid Vans fame and friend of ours was going to pick Jed up from the airport so a good time was pretty much guaranteed. Jed was totally blown away by the kindness of the Canadian people and was even given a Westfalia Syncro Vanagon (VW T25 T3) to use for most of the time he was in Canada! For free….
It was our fir ..read more

Covid travel restrictions were lifted so the decision was made to do something we have been talking about since we were last allowed to attend Syncrofest in California USA back in 2019 before the global pandemic was even a thing!
Chris and I have been talking a bit on video messenger about how epic it would be to drive from his place in New York State to California and end the trip at Syncrofest. Syncrofest is a Vanagon event that both of our companies have a hand in sponsoring every year so we really wanted to go again. We worked out the logistics of how this can be done but we had no idea of ..read more

Our customer Fliss wanted more room for storage on her VW Caddy. There wasn’t really anything that great that was off the shelf and low profile so we set to it to give her exactly what she wants. We used a custom size Frontrunner tray with our own produced feet and rail mounting system.
Need a custom rack yourself? Then drop us a line ..read more
