The formula for the date Easter falls is simple enough; it’s the Sunday following the first full Moon after the Spring Equinox, which means that in 2024 Easter arrives unusually early, on the weekend of March 31. It also means that Easter falls between two major eclipses: a partial lunar eclipse on March 25 and a total solar eclipse on April 8. Since the latter will be visible across North America, from Mexico to Canada, including 15 U.S. states from Texas to Maine, it’s sure to be widely covered and bring numerous predictions (new President, the Age of Aquarius, American civil war, the Raptur ..read more

Planets never pause in their orbit around the Sun, they merely seem to do so from our particular perspective on planet Earth. Unusually, in February all eight planets in the solar system are on the move forwards, suggesting a month of rapid change. Your forecasts are briefer than usual, but your astrologer suggests you check back to January’s forecasts for a longer-term look at 2024. The Sun moves from Aquarius into Pisces on February 19th. The New Moon in Aquarius arrives on February 9th. The Full Moon in Virgo arrives February 24th. Mercury in Capricorn moves into Aquarius on February 13th ..read more

Your Stars August 2023

August is first and foremost the month of Leo, with the Sun- the Lion’s ruler – at its most powerful – but this year Leo’s sway is boosted by the presence of Venus as the green planet completes its retrograde from evening to morning star. August is a Virgo month too, of course – with the contrast between the two signs one of the zodiac’s biggest wrenches: Leo, brash and demonstrative, Virgo unassuming and meticulous. Many individuals have planets in both signs of course, and it would help all of us if we can channel the better qualities of Lion and Harvest Goddess in August and September – Vir ..read more

We remain in eclipse season, with the total solar eclipse of April 20 (at the new Moon) followed by the partial lunar eclipse on May 5 (at the full Moon). As your astrologer pointed out last month, “Astrology is divided about what eclipses mean – revelation or cover-up – but the consensus is that they represent instability, and that sometimes the best thing is to do nothing until they are out the way.” Elon Musk was clearly not listening to astrologers, who would have advised that April 20 was a poor time to be launching ‘the most powerful rocket ever built’, the prototype of a reusable craft ..read more

So onwards we hurtle – as in March, April starts with all seven of the solar system’s planets in forward motion from our perspective on Earth. The world seems to be in a great hurry and events arrive thick and fast. But wait…Mercury is about to enter one of its periodic three week retrogrades, and while major planets remain in impatient mood, Mercury’s go-slow should help us catch our breath, even if it is only because of pettifogging details. In our personal lives, best to clear the decks pronto and to avoid any grand pronouncements after the 21st. Taurus is the sign of economics, and while w ..read more

Astrologically, March is an eventful month. Two major planets change signs – Saturn moves into Pisces on the 7th, Pluto into Aquarius on the 23rd – plus the Spring Equinox, the start of the astrological calendar, begins with a New Moon there on March 21st. Add in the fact that all eight planets are still streaming forwards (the ‘luminaries’ of Sun and Moon never go retrograde, natch) and you have a celestial recipe for major changes in the zeitgeist. Many eyes will be turned to Pluto’s arrival in the skies of Aquarius. Pluto is here for three months this year, but its arrival may offer clues ..read more
