Hi guys, I ordered a Shimano Stradic SW 5000 reel to pair with my 8ft Shimano Talavera rod. This is only my second setup as I started fishing last year. I fish the northeast mainly cape cod/buzzards Bay Area. So mostly porgy, Black Sea bass, and fluke is what I like to target. Obviously sea bass is harder to catch than porgy so should I go with spooking 20lb braid or 30lb braid for the sea bass and fluke? Thanks a lot!

Heading to the keys this weekends and staying in tavernier with the boat. Normally we go down south further so a bit unfamiliar with the area more north. Any tips or spots we should check out? Or spots to stay away from?
Target species: all of them.
Have both heavy and light tackle rods, what’s been hot recently?

I’m looking for a good rod and reel that I can use strictly for lures while my main rod sits with live/ cut bait. Something inexpensive but also reliable. It would just be my rod to use while my main pole isn’t getting much action. Combos are welcome or just suggestions for good reel and rod pairings. Thanks in advance. Also something lighter would be preferred as well.
